Good morning. Things are going very well. I'm working on controlling my blood sugar, so that is really helping me tackle those last few pounds. Apparently, I've become very insulin sensitive and have to watch the refined sugars and also add more complex carbs after my morning workout routine. The pattern of my sugar elevation shows that my body is getting too much of the bad carbs (even at what I think are very low levels) and not timing my good carbs in combination with complete protein. So this is an interesting process to figure out the best pattern of eating to support my new life.
QOTD - I'm not sure the food advocacy thing, but product I knew in a minute. But for food, I'd have to go Caveman Foods Maple Hickory Chicken Bars. They are great in a pinch and while traveling. Shelf stable and very filling with 100 cals and 14 g of protein. They are a big part of my safety net planning. But the most impactful things in my life right now are mind and body products. I'm getting so much benefit mentally and physically from my Peloton bike (would love to be a spokesperson - and already have one WLS support group member who purchased based on my comments at the meetings) and the other product is my Teeter inversion bench. It has so helped my back/sciatica. Love it.
No PWO - as I'll hit the bike this evening.
B - 1/2 cup oatmeal and 2 eggs with ham bites and peppers
L - 3.5 oz turkey and small salad, small apple
S - meat stick and small orange
D - small salad, more turkey
S - frozen strawberries and a few tbs of greek yogurt to top
Exercise - I plan on hitting a 60 minute class on the bike I bookmarked.
And it's the best season of the year. Hockey season! Went to the Blackhawks pre-season opener this week. Yes, I'm an odd person. Lifelong BH fan, but now a converted Preds diehard fan. It's like a split personality. I'm seeing 15 games this year and yes I have tix for the 3 Preds vs. BHs games at the United Center. And I WILL be sporting my Preds colors :) I do have 4 Jerseys (2 BH/2 Preds). I guess I'm just a fan of Hockey with a preferred two teams.
Pix of the game Wednesday as they warmed up and my inversion table.

I am a bigger Pittsburgh Penguin Fan than I am a Steeler fan. I can not wait till October 2nd for the first game of the season. I believe we are 1 and 1 on the preseason. As great as the lineup is name wise for the Pens I am afraid that age may get the best us this year. Let's just see how it plays out. I am definitely ready for some Hockey after the Steelers have managed to loose their first two games and a quarterback.

Yup 1:1 for you so far. Monday a coworker and I were giving it to each other. I was wearing my Preds jersey and he was yelling at me from his office. He is a die hard Penguin's fan and apparently his brother is one of the team doctors. He's got memorabilia all over his office walls, pretty cool stuff. It's driving me crazy because none of the expanded game coverage services activate until after 10/2 and since I'm not in the Nashville market - I have to listen to internet radio. The Preds play Tampa Bay tonight - that should be a good game.
