Happy HUMP DAY! What's the haps, people?
Yesterday was another long schlep around the city. I managed to hit every far reaching corner of Boston which meant I was in the car for the majority of the day. I did get out and take some great walks though--one by the water in East Boston and another in a fancy part of town with gorgeous brownstones.
When I got home I found out that Grim was a very nice guy and held a sign up all day at a polling place for his cousin who was running for Mayor. The poor guy got the WORST sunburn, standing outside all day! His nose has a blister and he is pain. All this for a candidate we didn't even like (despite being family). We woke up to find that he came in dead last, too. Which makes my liberal heart happy, but makes me feel even worse for Grim and his blistered nose.
Accountability: Well.... I had teeny-tiny pouch day, so I skipped 2 out of 3 meals I brought with me, and made up the calories I missed with 200 calories of wine in the evening... ended the day way low in cals, but not the healthy protein forward kind. Oops.
QOTD: What is the worst sunburn you have ever gotten? My freshman year of college, right before finals, a group of us packed up a big picnic and all of our study materials, and spent an entire day at a pond. It was cloudy and cool and no one thought we were getting color at all. But we left in the evening after 12 hours outside and suddenly realized we were fried . The next day we were all sick, blistered, and in so much pain. A few people had to miss some finals! It was terrible.
Exercise: I am planning to skip riding the bus, and walk all the way to work from the train station, again. I think it is 3.5 miles?

Happy Hump Day JB and Menu Friends,
I woke up and thought it was Friday. I feel like I am back to Ground Hog's Day schedule - same thing different day. My menu is exactly the same as yesterday and the only difference is instead of a walk I will go to yoga tonight. B.O.R.I.N.G
QOTD: I am blessed with skin that tans. I don't really remember getting a bad sunburn.
B: Coffee, protein shake
MS: HB egg
L: Buddigs turkey, raspberries, Laughing Cow cheese wedge with mini peppers, raw cauliflower
AS: Saturn peach
D: the remaining spaghetti squash and meat sauce
Lots of water, all vitamins and hoping to get 10,000 steps in.
Have a wonderful day!

Nope gotta go with false weekend thoughts for the win. I ever so briefly thought it might be Saturday when I woke up in the middle of the night. Crushed.

Back before cell phones and the internet, I started work at 2:00 am. I arrived one morning and the parking lot was totally empty. I was completely confused. Turns out I had gone in on a Saturday morning.
That's bad.

Good Morning! JB- please tell John that I hope his sunburn feels better soon. So painful!
Accountability: Yikes, snacks were bad last night. I?ll do better today.
QOTD: My sister and I used to get badly burned every summer when we would camp at the lake for 2 weeks. Apple cider vinegar baths were always a thing when we got home usually the day before Labor Day and we would be all peeling and gross for the first day of school.

Oh, I have never heard of Apple Cider Vinegar for sunburns. I might dunk his face in some tonight, haha.
