Wow. Thank you all for the feedback.

My health?

My start weight was 232 @ 5 10 and I'm now 145.

I'm really skinny and nothing sticks to me.

And of course my energy crashes.

I want my energy first and would love to be 165lbs.

I've read on the forum that weight gain will happen naturally but I'm at month 32 and don't see that.

I guess I'm a dumper as my stool is mostly water.

Thank you all for the great feedback.

Invaluable.

One more question.

I see people talking about sugar at each meal anywhere from 5-15g.

How does this relate to overall carbs?

If I need to drastically limit carbs and I malabsorb fat how do I gain weight?

Put my lunch into My Fitness Pal and it was 133g of carbs.

I'm guessing that bad?

Lol

Well you're just about the only poster on the site who wants to be bigger . Why may I ask ?

165 is a good weight if you're a 6'2" female basketball player or a 400 lb lifting leaned out totally muscular female heavyweight bodybuilder . Serena and Venus Williams who are champions due to powerful athletic ability based on massive muscles probably weigh that much ... but why should you ?

If I weighed nearly 145 ... ( and I'm 5'9" ) I'd be trying to lose . I bounce between 129-135 and I'm not nearly skinny - I gotta make an effort to look smaller and lean out to work successfully . I also FEEL and fit my clothes a lot better in the bottom part of my range .

Ooh ho ho ho ... for goodness' sakes U coulda shared that before lol !

Ok ... and btw I'm a certified personal trainer and I was chosen to work w a few celebrities so I'm not so bad at my job ....

you need a plan first - there are many gyms that will happily give you month to month membership and a few personal training sessions thrown in free .

I would tell them " I want to b a bodybuilder" you'll get their best guy or gal ... but b prepared 2 werk ! You want to put on lean muscle weight ... so get a plan that involves lifting four- 6 days a week targeting different muscle groups n body parts each time . Follow the suggestions of your trainer regarding pre and post workout supplements - you'll get three times the body improvement for your effort .

You probably will want to modify your diet eventually ... but for now listen to ur trainer .. cut out sugar (((()))) you'll do GREAT love !!!

I often have the feel like a zombie, crashing after a meal. Way too often.

So far I have no idea what is going on. And why. I know to much food would cause that. And too much is relative. The food temperature is an issue, and how fast I eat it. Soups can cause that almost always. Even soups with very little carbs. I.e. homemade egg drop soup. I have no idea how to fix it. Carbs - like ice cream or any thing Iike that, would cause "carb coma". Exactly as you describe. Falling asleep anywhere I am, sitting up. And I feel often as I can't even move anywhere to lay down. I don't have the energy.

Yes.

I think for one thing I'm eating too much for this new body to manage and it sends resources (water, blood, energy) to deal with it.

Of course this takes these resources away for other things and I become lethargic and if I eat sugar it's game over.

But I feel my system becomes "full" with food and water and whatever and my other functions are impaired.

Then I'll have a bowel movement where all comes out (water and stool) ALOT and there is a relief as the system has rid itself of the "foreign" invader so to speak.

I'm trying to eat smaller and give system a chance to manage what I give it.

The too much water - too liquids in a stool indicate either dumping (specially when you had carbs like ice cream, or cake) or IBS. IBS-D. You may have developed lactose intolerance - that also would cause lose stool, and fast evacuation.

Ideally you may try to get to see a good gastro doctor.

But in a meantime - if I were you, I would stop having any food that can have lactose, and any high carbs food.

The dumping you may experienced - is a very mild form or dumping, characterized by loose stools, and some gas. Having runs as often as you may prevent you from absorbing nutrition. Including proteins, minerals and vitamins. I would try to get lab work ASAP, before you get so depleted that it may cause irreversible changes in your body.
