I used to have a furminator when I had my dog and loved it! Not sure what happened to it, but I may need to get me one for Chester.

our vomiters have usually ended up being diagnosed with IBD (inflammatory bowel disease), but I'm sure your vet would have thought of that since that (or diarrhea) is the most common symptom - plus IBD is fairly common in older cats. So I'm guessing that's probably not it. Plus our IBD cats vomit way more than every two weeks if they're not being treated, so...

Yeah, he is an older cat. Will be 8 in January, but the vet says he's pretty healthy. He doesn't have any issues with diarrhea or anything either. I do bring up the vomiting up hairballs to the vet every time we go though, but the vet says it's normal and to just get him on a good hair ball formula and brush him regularly which I've been doing. So I guess it's just something we will have to live with. I've learned though to put a couch cover on my sofa since that seems to be his favorite place to throw up.

Have you tried Hartz Hairball Remedy? It comes in a toothpaste type tube and cats love it so very easy to administer. About one inch squeezed onto your finger once a week and hair balls are sent out the back end instead of being vomited up.

No I haven't, but thank you! I will look into that.

Good Sunday folks.

today is going ok and even though i'm nervous as heck about tomorrow's test results I'm feeling pretty good. My hips and left leg are bothering me. I was cleaning & dusting my room and sat on the floor...OUCH. Had a rough time last night and ended up taking some Tylenol at 3:44am.

My brother is coming over with the kids for lunch so i'm making them a ravioli bake thing and some garlic bread. It's easy to fix so I can't complain.

qotd: I haven't been reading a lot lately but I think i'm going to read some Tolkien works again. The Silmarillion I think. I'm boring lol

I read Crawdads this summer and it is one of the best stories ever written. Now I am reading the Institute by Stephen King. His books are always disturbing, but I am addicted.

Love the bowls. I would be finding a special place to display and use them.

Love the bowls!

QOTD- Margaret Atwood- The Testaments I just started this one. Next up Neil Gaiman- American Gods. This one was recommended so hoping it's good. I'm also reading the Inspector Monalbano books by Andrea Camilleri, and for pure trashy entertainment the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter books by Laurell K Hamilton. And re-reading all of the Travis McGee novels by John D. MacDonald.

Accountability- there was popcorn!
