What's on your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
Hello gang!
I keep telling myself I need to remember to post on here regularly again. I used to every day, and now my morning routine is so much different with the new job. But today I'm working an earlier shift so I can leave early. DH and I have tickets to see Hamilton at the Orpheum! IM BEYOND STOKED.
I've been working my way back up to the activity level I was at before my accident, now that my neck and back issues are much improved. It's amazing how quickly we can fall out of shape or regress. I'm huffing and puffing after one mile on the treadmill now when I used to jog 2-3, then do weights, and then walk another mile!
Weight isn't budging much. I know I need to lower calories, but I'm struggling to eat less than 1200, though I'm keeping carbs low. I know it's because of unplanned snacking. I've stocked up on yummy herbal teas and I'm going back to "snacking" on tea instead of nuts and sunflower seeds, my recent go-tos.
qotd: Happy, probably! I generally am.
Menu:
breakfast: coffee with SF pumpkin pie spice creamer, 2 HB eggs with sriracha
lunch: salad with 2 oz diced chicken breast, 1/2 C ham and bean soup
dinner: we like to go to a seafood place near the Orpheum when we see shows, so I'll likely have salmon or shrimp and a vegetable or salad side

I've been a train wreck the past few days. I don't honestly know what my issue is but I seem to have one. I just feel outside of myself...if that makes sense. It feels like I don't know me, more so than usual. I suspect the birth control but I don't know what to do about it. I will for sure talk to my obgyn Monday when I go in for test results. It's helped with the hormone issue but i'm hangry allllllll the time. I'm just in a sad anxiety filled place atm.
i did have good news from the eye specialist today. He was very happy with how my eyes look and my last a1c. No shots or laser treatments needed in the slightest way. That's giving me a boost and I feel a bit more confident about some things. Tomorrow(and tonight) is a new time so I just need to start again and move on from mistakes.
qotd: there should be one called anxiety...LOL. I'd say grumpy/bashful mixed in with a tiny bit of dopey. I'm terribly shy and always feel like I don't fit in. I'm a weeeee bit of an old curmudgeon and I sometimes have a weird sense of humor.

That's good news on your eyes, Melody.
