Hellllllooooooo Friends! How are you all doing? I have a very busy day ahead, but I am also planning to leave work during my lunch hour to donate blood in honor of 9/11. I haven't given blood since surgery because my ferritin levels are generally tanked, but I feel like it is important to do on this day.

Accountability: I was way too busy to eat during the day, so I really didn't have anything until I came home at 7pm and then I totally ate off plan. I ended the day at just over 1000 calories and had waaaay too many carbs. Also, since I hadn't eaten, and my train was super late, I missed my exercise time :( I did walk just over 2 miles to work, though, so I am going to count a mile towards the 50 mile challenge!

QOTD: Do you need to sleep with covers on? Grim doesn't "believe in" top sheets, so we just have a quilt on the bed. It's too heavy for hot days but I just have to sleep with something on top of me, no matter how hot it is! After a few terrible nights of very poor sleep, I finally just got up at midnight and grabbed a sheet from the linen closet, but I accidentally grabbed a bottom sheet. Whatever, I totally used it anyway...hahaha.

Exercise: I'm really hoping to get home in time for the gym tonight!

Good morning lovely people!

I have so much to do today, including getting a new windshield and making sure the house is ready for guests and that whole job thing. Very important, the job thing, it makes all the other things possible!

qotd - "doesn't believe in the top sheet"...it's not a unicorn! It exists, lol! I have to sleep with something over my feet so nothing can reach up and grab my feet, so a sheet is very important.

menu today is

coffee and half and half x 3

ever roast deli chicken and slice cheddar x 2

cin raisin cottage cheese

light and fit greek pumpkin

Built bar

100 oz water! Must get in the water!!

have a great day all!!

Thank you for confirming it's existence! I knew I wasn't imagining that top-sheet goodness!

I am actually the opposite. I need to sleep completely covered EXCEPT for the feet. I need to be free for kicking, as needed, apparently.

Good Day JB and Menuers,

I will start looking for my before and after pics now for photo Friday. Thanks for the heads up!

Accountability: Getting better! I did drink 100+ ounces of water yesterday and my insides are thanking me. I drank 99.9 before I even got home from school so I consider that a win. I tried my hardest not to snack but grabbed a Greek yogurt, I really didn't need it.

QOTD: We sleep with a top sheet and a heavy comforter. I could just sleep with a lightweight blanket but DH likes the sheet and heavy comforter.

This is what I have planned for today but I have a headache and I'm just not feeling it.

Going for 100+ ounces again, hoping to get a walk before I head to yoga tonight.

Have a great day!

Good Morning! JB- I think it's great for anyone that is able to donate, my surgeon strongly urges that I do not since I've had issues with iron. Hubby might but he's been fighting either a cold or allergies so he'll base it on how he's feeling today.

Accountability: On plan

QOTD: Always need a sheet with at least one leg under it.

TSS: 5 years 1 month

B: Eggbeaters, 2 turkey sausage links, and 1/2 an orange

L: Albacore lettuce wraps and baby carrots

S: SF almond milk latte, Thinslim everything bagel with cream cheese, and carbmaster yogurt

D: Birch benders pancakes, eggbeaters, turkey sausage links, cauliflower hash browns, sliced fruit, and 2 squares dark chocolate

ES: Low carb pita with butter and SF jam, Homemade Greek yogurt with SF syrup and ¼ cup fiber cereal

E: An hour stair climber and 40 mins of elliptical

V/W: On track

Totals: Cals: 1447 Protein:132 Carbs: 98 Fat:66

Good morning, everybody!

JB, your meme reminds me that me and my youngest signed up for this Brat Run on September 28th. It's in connection with a local town's Octoberfest. Basically, you run 5K and get a free Bratwurst. Count me in.

Also, we are counting in on Hella Mega Tour 2020. Fall Out Boy, Green Day and Weezer next August 13th at Wrigley Field. Supposedly, we can get tickets through American Express four days early.

Speaking of tickets, Marilyn put in a lottery application for Wimbledon yesterday. Hopefully we win because the resale market for that event is horrifying.

Marilyn has tennis on Saturday, so I am charged with going to the Lily Pulitzer event at Target and getting things for DD. She sent us her sizes, but not what I should specifically get her. Does anybody know about this event or have a strategy? If Lizwantshealthforall is reading today, I know this is in your wheelhouse.

I went to the in-person support group at our Bariatrics practice last night. My Baritrician had asked if I would go. It was my first time attending. There were only two other people. Everybody seemed nice, but the 5:00 traffic from downtown to the practice was brutal.

Today, I have an endocrinologist appointment, a meeting for CASA, have to go rent a tuxedo for an event later in the month (actually the night of the Brat Run) and may try and get my haircut. We are doing a fundraiser at the gym that looks really hard. I will report back tomorrow as to success or failure.

QOTD: When I was a young child I insisted that my Parents cut the feet off of my sleepers. I guess I wore them as rompers. Although I no longer go in for sleepers (or rompers), the basic premise has never changed. I will sleep with a top sheet as long as it is pulled out from under the mattress so that it does not cover my feet.

Breakfast: Turkey meatballs and cottage cheese

Snack: Protein Bar

Lunch: Hamburger

Snack: Jerky

Dinner: TBD

Have a great day, all!

Ohhh Jim... since we aren't FB friends, you missed this gem from my commute yesterday! A man wearing full (zip the ankle and hooded) leopard print sleepers on the city bus. I bet you could rock this look.

He looks very relaxed. None of the nervousness that you might expect about wearing a leopard print sleeper on a bus.

No social media for me except OH and Linkedin.
