What's on your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?

I would take 45+ minute showers if it was socially acceptable, but nap there? Cannot even imagine. Ha. My father would have murdered me.

Mornin'!
busy day today....for a retiree, that is. This morning I have to go out to a town a few miles from here to meet a potential client at 10:00. This is for the volunteer job I have serving as a court-appointed legal guardian. If I decide I'm up for taking her on, this will be my first assignment. I never dreamed it would take this long, but I was told it could take anywhere from a few days to a couple of months, so... Then my Mah Jongg group meets this afternoon. We usually play from about 1:00 - 4:00 pm. Then I'm meeting my mother and sister for dinner at 5:30. I have a bunch of stuff I have to do before my civics organization has its first big brunch meeting of the season on Saturday, so I'll likely do some of that tonight after I get home. I'm starting to feel like I'm working again...
accountability was good yesterday
QOTD: I've mentioned this a few times before, but I'll be in India Oct 5-27 (so I'm prepping for that as well! So much to do before I go!). I'm wondering about protein there - and also, coffee. I'm planning to take a bunch of protein bars with me in case I come up short at the end of the day (week 2 will be especially tricky since the place we're staying serves vegan meals. I'm fine with vegan - just concerned about hitting my protein goals). And hopefully there will be coffee. I know people do drink coffee in India, but tea is a much bigger thing. I like tea - but I can't imagine three weeks of possibly not having coffee. Yikes. Although I've certainly done it before...
4 years 3 months out:
B: protein pancakes with plain Greek yogurt and homemade fruit compote, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake? Or maybe nothing.
L: salad with diced turkey breast and light dressing
AS: I'd better plan on taking something to Mah Jongg as one of the women often brings fattening snacks like granola. Maybe a protein bar or some baby carrots.
D: we'll be at a Mexican restaurant, so two of those small authentic tacos with just the meat, cilantro, and onions
have a great day, all!

Hiiii Julia and everyone,
Your posts brighten my day, whether I am lurking or participating!
QOTD: oooh my favorite topic ever. I go through phases of a ridiculous amount of travel and then none. I leave Sunday for Vegas (for work) and then I am home for a few days and head to Palo Alto (for work). Kris will fly out with the two little kids to meet me for the weekend so we can spend time with my 92 year old Grammy and my aunt, whose birthday it will be. Then I have a family wedding in Columbus in October and we are taking the kids to London at the end of October. I cannot wait. I am trying desperately to figure out how to afford to take the kids to Italy next year for their Spring Break week. Thank god for the app "Hopper" to watch flight prices...
Time since surgery: 5.75 years
B: 1/2 cup cottage cheese mashed with 2 hard boiled eggs. I got this nifty little egg cooker thing and this was my first time trying it so wish me luck, because I am out of ever roast chicken BOOOOOOOOOO. Might try to run to Giant at lunch to buy some!
L: Leftover Trader Joe's chicken shawarma thighs. YUM. These are the bomb off the grill. So flavorful! Though I could likely just keep buying my thighs at Costco and marinating them.
D: I am picking up Chipotle after the gym. I get a bowl with sofritas, chicken, sour cream, cheese, guacamole
E: Body Pump!
Have a great day, everyone!
What are your dates in Palo Alto? Do you have any free time?
