What's on your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?

Yay, the site works today!
I am amazed that I am awake--for some reason I slept soooo poorly. I just couldn't get comfortable--either the temp was off, or my neck/shoulders were tense. I think I was awake as much as I was asleep! And today I will be doing new staff on-boarding from 8am - 1pm, which is probably the most annoying part of my new job. I seem to be on a roll with making people cry at these, lol, so today we will all be cranky!
Accountability: Finally--a perfect day! I skipped one of my small meals and ran 2.5 miles after work. Ended the day at 675 calories.
QOTD: Do you have any big trips planned? My hairdresser is a wildly fun world traveler and every time I am there we talk about traveling. He is on his way to a 2 week trip also over Italy and I am super jealous. My parents are also gearing up for a 2 week trip to England. Ahh, I have the travel itch, but nothing planned right now. Maryann (mschwab) invited me to a quick trip which would be coming up next week, but the new job said I had to be in the position for 90 days before I take vaca days... :(
Exercise: I'm changing it up, and plan to do 2.5 miles on the elliptical instead of the treadmill tonight. I am also going to walk at least a mile from the train to work instead of taking the bus the whole way. I have discovered that I can walk almost as fast as the bus goes in traffic, so it's worth it!

Good Day JB and Menu Friends,
Glad the site is up and running! We had a good weekend and yesterday we started to 'clean up' the garden. Corn stalks are bundled and up for sale and then tonight we will dig the sweet potatoes. My only job is to pick them up and put them in a basket.
Accountability: better but there is room for improvement. I am trying to be more mindful and in fact, joined a group on FB about mindful eating. I am also realizing I eat too many carbs. Keeping track on MFP to see what I need to eliminate. I am open for suggestions and I know I need to let go of the protein shake.
QOTD: We don't have any big trips planned. There are a few fall weekend camping trips and we are supposed to go to Kitty Hawk, NC at the end of October but that depends on damage from the storm that passed through last week. I haven't heard back from my NC friend as of yet.
I am getting closer to 100 ounces of water again and always take my vitamins. I am hoping to get my walk in but that depends on the sweet potatoes. Have a great day!

I had a hard time letting go of my protein shakes too! So now I compromise with adding a 1/4c scoop of mocha flavored protein powder to my coffee every morning. It helps keep me full and keep my protein numbers boosted...but since it's mixed with coffee not milk, the calories stay low, at 65. If you aren't into coffee, maybe try one of the Syntrax fruit flavors that mix with water? I love the peach one and I think it's under 100 calories.
Either way, great job with the mindfulness and the openness to changing it up!

There is some error in the MFP. The pickles -"Bread and Butter" show 25 calories with 21 grams of carbs? How is that possible? Unless majority of the carbs is erythritol... A non caloric SA... ???

You are brilliant! It was 4 slices (super thin) of homemade bread and butter pickles, no way they contained 21 grams of carbs!

Good Morning! JB- I didn't sleep well either, partially because of a dog barking/yipping somewhere close and leg cramps. I hope the on-boarding goes better than expected. I'll be spending a huge chunk of my day conducting phone interviews/screening.
Accountability- Got up after many leg cramps and ate a banana and some PB sandwich crackers.
QOTD: No big trips planned for me but maybe it's a hair dresser thing because mine is going to Peru in October. He goes to some retreats so he's always going somewhere interesting.
