Mornin'!

I had a great time yesterday with my cousin. We ended up meeting in Dubuque instead of Davenport because Dubuque wasn't much further for her (maybe 10 miles further), and it was WAY closer for me (1.5 hours vs. 3 hours). Thank God. I just wasn't up for a three-hour drive. We walked around downtown (it was actually pretty deserted - very odd), took a funicular up to the top of a bluff (or whatever you call those huge, steep hills) to admire the view of the city and the (Mississippi) river and to watch the goats who keep the vegetation maintained on the steep hillside, and had a nice lunch at some bar & grill type of place. Today we're meeting the moms (mine and DH's) for coffee at 10:30, then I want to run over to a garden/outdoor furniture place to give a second look to this rocker that I'm considering buying for my porch. Other than that...??? Maybe a Zumba or yoga class. No - DEFINITELY a Zumba or yoga class!

accountability was good yesterday. I had two carne asada tacos at that bar & grill and was able to stay within my calorie range.

QOTD: I hate hot, muggy weather and would not like dealing with hurricane threats every year, so Florida and pretty much anywhere around the Gulf Coast would be out. Also - earthquakes. Too sudden (not enough warning to get the hell out of Dodge) and too potentially destructive - so California is out, too. I would also not like dealing with all the snow in the places on the east end of a Great Lake - like Buffalo or the Cleveland area (I grew up in the latter - no thanks). We had one winter a few years back where we got 100" of snow - pretty much unheard of in this part of Wisconsin. It was horrendous - I can't imagine dealing with that every single winter, like they do in Buffalo. UGH.

4 years 3 months out:

B: protein pancakes with plain Greek yogurt, 1/2 diced mango, and SF syrup, coffee with half & half

MS: more coffee with half & half (with the moms)

L: cottage cheese or salad with diced turkey & light dressing

AS: maybe a piece of crustless protein pumpkin pie (I made some the other day and haven't had any yet)

D: I'm thinking half a Beyond Burger and an ear of corn

ex: something!!

have a great day, all!

Good morning everyone. It rained last night and we had some thunder and lightning. I have the windows open and it smells so good. The boys are gone hunting for the next 2 days. They are camping and hiking up on the mountain. I always worry about cougars. I feel like the older I get I have more anxiety about things.

Madeline and I are headed to the Farmers Market this morning and for a walk. She slept 13 hours yesterday. I think she is exhausted and trying to get back on a normal sleeping schedule. A pot of soup is on the agenda for today, some cleaning and finishing up Season 3 of Working Moms.

QOTD- I live in the PNW, about 45 minutes from Portland. I love that we have all 4 seasons. I don't think I would ever want to live in Florida or Arizonia, too many reptiles. I have snakes issues!

Food for today-

3 cups black coffee, 1 with miralax

1 egg, 3 oz pepperino ham

Chicken and vegetable soup

Probably Halibut or mahi mahi burger

Good morning~ Glad you are feeling better, JB. I had a lovely day mostly at the gym. I used the hot tub, swam laps, steam room, showered and a hydro massage. The hydro massage was heavenly, then I floated out ona cloud! You can control the pressure and speed and location all fabulous. This will give me more incentive to go to the gym now, haha. They also have a body massage chair and an infrared pod I want to try. I just never gave it any thought before but now its on! You can do just 10 minutes which is nice when time isn't on your side. Today we already took the dogs to the park and walked 2 miles. I'm gonna run some errands then is all about football and prepping for the week, the usual house and laundry stuff...

QOTD - The thought of tornadoes freak me out. IMO - they are the most unpredictable and would be terrifying - the waiting... At least with blizzards, hurricanes you know and can prepare. I've lived in CA for 33 years and earthquakes don't bother me. No warning - it happens and it's over. Not saying they can't be devastating, just no fear and anxiety associated.

Accountability - ate 1/3 of a lemon think bar before thinking about it, I mean the carbs, - holy crap. It was good tasted like a cookie w/no after taste.

Hope everyone is having a great Sunday! Yesterday I stayed on plan, but this morning I was still up a pound. I'm hoping it's just because it's that time of month again as I woke up with a headache and that's usually a sign.

QOTD: Hmmmm....this is a hard one as I think it would be a tie between tornados and earthquakes. Ever since I watched The Wizard Of Oz as a child I've been terrified of tornados! But also earthquakes. I watched a movie when I was younger about an earthquake that was based on a true story and seeing the devastation it caused really freaked me out. And the fact that you have no warning. I don't think I could handle that stress!

B: premier shake

B2: coffee w/Splenda and sugar free creamer and a mini breakfast sandwich using the chaffle recipe.

L: L&F yogurt

S: premier shake

D: ? Maybe some turkey meatballs.

Good Sunday afternoon.

i found out last night that a 2nd cousin of mine died suddenly Thursday. I was friends with him on FB but I just found out last night. I'm so sad about it, he and my grandpa were pretty close. My grandpa was one of 16 total so the family was spread out all over the place. He was a good and honest man. Just stinks.

i've managed To hurt my right shoulder & left hip/upper leg. Sleep sucks due to it and exercise literally makes me cry. I'm just tired and my body is gripping at me. I can't sleep on one side to long or it hurts worse so I toss and turn alllllll night.

qotd: if I had to pick...earthquakes or places that are prone to tsunamis. No thanks! Lol. I don't mind the tornado threat much. I'll attach the photo I took from my backyard. It was of a supercell storm that had a wall cloud and you can see the spin in it. It seems crazy but as a kid I had a huge fear of them.

b:PP shake

s:cheese stick & l&f yogurt

l:shredded chicken breast, roasted seaweed snack

s:two good yogurt & 8 ozs almond milk, unsweetened

d:tilapia loin

s:Colby jack cheese

QOTD- Nowhere that has tornado's. We have earthquakes here, but not usually that bad. I hate snow and cold, but I'm terrified of tornado's.
