Onederland!!!
Hi to everyone!
I haven't been online much in the past few months. Busy getting the weight off, going to doctor appointments for health issues (RA, OA, Fibromyalgia, Bulging discs, etc). About 3 weeks ago I hit under 200 lbs!! I am now 192 lbs and haven't been this weight since the early 90's! It's not easy but I'm going to keep fighting. I am thrilled to be under 200 lbs. In total, from the first surgery, I have lost 142 lbs. I still want to lose at least another 40-50 lbs. And, I've lost a lot of inches!! Just wanted to share with y'all!!! Thanks for your love and support! Have a great weekend and keep fighting to be healthy!
Thank you!!! Yes, I never thought I'd see under 200 in my lifetime again! I didn't know that conversion would be slower. I've been beating myself up because I don't want to not succeed! I've lost 74 since surgery feel like I should have lost way more. I need to keep reminding myself that I've lost a lot of inches too. Anyone that says WLS is easy have no idea! Thanks for your support! It means a lot!!
The average weight loss after revision surgery is 20 pounds. You have done fantastic. I have gained back weight and lost it again in the twelve years since I had surgery. Each time is slower and harder, but I understand that it will never be like the first year.
Keep up the great work. You will succeed,
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
The average weight loss is only 20 lbs? Wow! That isn't much! I'm so thankful then that I've lost the weight and inches I have. I still "feel" fat most times. I've told myself that I will never get heavy again! I don't want to quit and I never will. Day by day. And you are proof that it can be still done years later even if it is slow!!! Wonderful for you! Thank you again!
Congrats!!!! That is wonderful and you should be proud! I have no doubt you will reach your goal!
That is my next goal right now....to get under 200 pounds. It seems so close and yet so far away. My weight loss has slowed tremendously which my doctor said it would. It?s definitely not easy, but I keep trucking along. I?m sure it must be a lot harder for you with revision surgery.....or so I?ve heard. So yeah, you should be very proud! That is awesome news!!!

Thanks! And you are correct, my family wasn't on board in the beginning, but they have since come around. My mom even looks up new bariatric friendly recipes for me now and has even cooked me a few dishes. They are super supportive now! And of course my friend who had the vsg has always been there cheering me on.
Keep up the awesome work!!!
