What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu, RNYers?
Thanks.
Wednesday I saw the Baritrician's PA. She said that the Baritrician told her I was a Lay-up. Then the Baritrician and the PA googled what Murph WOD was and came back in giggling. Then I saw the Nutritionist. She is one of those willowy thin nutritionists. She is a good person and wants to help, but I'm sure she has never been to two drive throughs on Route 1 in the same car trip.
Yesterday morning was the Psychiatrist one year. Last night (pick-up) and this morning (drop-off) were the sleep test. Knock on wood. Today was the one year surgeon's PA. She asked about plastics. I said I was only considering on my face/neck and she wrote a referral.
Dentist Wednesday.
So, do you have anything you wish to share?
The next few weeks are a magical time New England. Its the only time that I really feel homesick. I would love to go to the White Mountains hiking, but I can't travel to Boston without visiting family the whole time. Enjoy it!

I have seen at least 10 different nutritionists in my time, and every single one of them was younger than 28, less than 5'3" and weighed under 100lbs. Its like they have to fit an exact description to get these positions!
Yes fall in NE is the best!!! I am ready for some hiking through the glowing trees, sweater-weather & apple picking! Bring it on!

Julia, I can honestly say I have never been "too busy to eat". Sad, huh? No matter how busy, I think about the food and I find a way to eat the food. Can we say disorder???
Too bad it's so annoying and difficult to post pics on this site because my hair is on point! Well I don't have a pic of it, but I may try to snap one.
My calls end at 1 pm today and I am going to FINALLY run out to Aldi and Giant and stock up on groceries. I haven't had time this week.
I've never had a Labor Day tradition other than enjoying the long weekend. We are having our across the way neighbors over for the afternoon on Monday for a bbq. Tomorrow we are taking the kids swimming at a local beach in the Chesapeake Bay. Sort of a summer send-off!
B: 2 hard boiled eggs mashed into cottage cheese with EBTB seasoning
L: Will finally have my Ever Roast back in stock! A low carb wrap with Ever Roast chicken, munster cheese, mayo
D: Making a cajun chicken tender (on the grill) creamy pasta with leeks. Less noodles for me.
E: Nothin'
Have a great Friday and I hope everyone's work is calm and relaxed as we head into the holiday!

Yesterday we had on boarding with new staff in the afternoon. We planned on 1-5pm and capped it at 60 people, but people started pouring in at noon and we ended up with over a hundred. It was non stop and so busy that I never stopped to take a sip of water or pee, even though I needed to do both for hours. Eating was the last thing on my mind!

Mornin' All!
well I'm at my brother's in North Carolina. He has a new girlfriend - I like her way better than the last two, and I actually like her a little better than his ex-wife - at least so far. She seems to be a winner! Plus she's a licensed massage therapist, so she's giving me a massage later on this morning - for free! I wish I had a massage therapist for a partner! This one might be a keeper!
Not sure what I'll be eating today or the rest of the weekend, for that matter, so it's a little hard to plan. We met at a BBQ place when I got in last night, but I brought most of my dinner home - so there will probably be pulled pork for either lunch or dinner. I really need to watch the carbs and sodium and calories this weekend, though - I don't want to go back heavier than when I left!!
QOTD: no Labor Day traditions
4 years 2 months out:
B: 2 things of Two Good coconut yogurt with some fresh blueberries (two of them so I won't snack later on this morning - plus they're only 80 calories each - more of a snack yogurt than a meal yogurt. And I need the protein boost in the morning)
MS: protein shake
L: probably pulled pork if we're here. If not, I have protein bars and jerky for the road...
D: same as lunch
ex: hopefully a lot of walking or hiking - it's a beautiful day, and the mountains are gorgeous!

G'morning all!
Yesterday I came here, read the posts but got busy and didn't post.
I liked yesterday's QOTD so much that I wanted to answer it anyway: if I could be an animal I wanna be a polar bear. They are my favorite animals, even though they don't hibernate like other bears. The whole hibernation is very appealing to me; eat until you are fat, then go to sleep for 5-6 months and wake up skinny! What a life!
QOTD: no tradition for labors day except enjoying the three day weekend and a beach bbq. This year we are going away but back for Mon bbq.
I have been mentioning we get a lot of fog when it's hot in the valley, we don't get to use the deck much so somebody else decided to take advantage of it. I thought with the dew it was really pretty.
My meals for the day:
- Coffee, coffee, and more coffee
- Cauliflower rice & eggs
- Shredded chicken (made in crockpot)
- Yogurt or parm cheese
Oooh, and I crocheted this for a neighbor. She is having a baby girl and the nursery theme is elephants. This is a nursery rug.
Happy Fri-yay, everyone.
