Good morning - Our cat starts his fussing an hour before meal times, he is my alarm clock for sure! I didn't eat well yesterday either, but that was for lack of planning really. I was stressed and tired at work and even though I had good options, I went another way. It's done and I'm on plan today w/CAMAW for a few days. I need to get my head back in the game so simple eats and the gym for the next few days then I will figure out my next move this weekend after my head has cleared from the carb fog. Thanks for the support yesterday

Good afternoon.
3 months to the day of my RNY conversion. Saw my surgeon today. I feel as if i'm Doing poorly. I'm always afraid to be a disappointment to people. Just one of those days I guess. I've lost around 45 pounds in those three months. I need to go easy on myself.
I've decided to cut my carbs to 25 or less starting tomorrow. It had been around 50 give or take a few. Once the light n fit yogurt is gone i'll not be buying it.

HI Melody - 45lbs in 3 months, as a revision, I think is pretty good. Hopefully your doctor reinforced that. I try to keep my carbs 25-30, some days are harder than others! You mentioned giving up your L&F - maybe consider giving up crackers or some of the other white carbs and keeping the L&F because in addition to the carbs, you're also getting protein with it! Protein is very important to us and since you do have challenges with the dense proteins, having that in addition to your shakes might be worthwhile. Just a thought.

yes, crackers are going to be a no more thing. I tend to eat em when my stomach is upset...which is often. I really need to get over my old mentality. I'm working hard to but i've Had my moments. My surgeon is great and is very supportive. He wants to do an egd if I still have issues with dense protein in a few weeks. Depression and my mood swings are really draining me to empty. I think if I have Cushing's it'd explain a lot of the mood stuff. If not I need a major med adjustment!
