What's on your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?

I am an IKEA junkie! Moving in with Grim put me a lot closer and now I live about 10 minutes from the MA store. It's magic. It's not the BEST thing about living with him, but it might be in the top 20...
Don't even think of it as a furniture store--there is so much more! They set up the top floor of the store by furniture type, but they put together little apartment vignettes so when you are looking at couches, you go into an entirely furnished living room and everything in the space comes from the store (from lamps, and rugs and art and tableware, etc.). You have to resist the urge to grab all of those cute little things from the apartment, and just make a mental note, because the entire bottom floor of the store is the "marketplace" where they sell everything you can possibly imagine. They have mattresses, bedding, pots & pans, straws, magnets, curtains, stuffed animals, fake mustaches, benches, lamps, frames.... literally everything ever made can be purchased there. Bonus it is all so colorful and well designed and CHEAP!
I should get a commission from them for the free advertising I give them to everyone who is slightly skeptical!
GO! And post pics!

Make sure you leave enough time for Ikea an hour at the least. Once your in there your kinda trapped till the end. Kinda reminiscent of a fun house at an amusement park with all the mirrors and smoke.

Have you read a book (satire) called Horrorstor? My bookclub picked it last year, it's about a group of people that get trapped at a large Scandinavia style furniture store, that's where I learned it's one way in and one way out, lol

Good morning, everybody!
The battery on my blood pressure monitor died today. Usually, the first things that I do in the morning are test my blood pressure and blood sugar. When I put on the cuff, it just went pffft. Then, I tried it again and the same thing. At that point, it was probably good that the pressure wasn't registering because it would have been cranked up from wrestling with the cuff and monitor.
Today starts a string of doctor's appointments for my upcoming surgiversary. Nutritionist and Baritrician this afternoon. If these go well then I will move from the three month to the six month visit plan. While I am at the hospital I need to pick up my calcium and multi-vitamins as well. I hope everything goes smoothly.
QOTD: If somebody else is paying, I guess I will go with the jeweler. So Tourneau or CD Pea****
