What's on your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?
on 8/27/19 1:56 pm
Like I said... it's really only s guess if I am getting 100 calorie tacos or 700 calorie tacos, so who even knows if they "fit my day". Sigh. I half wish all restaurants were required to put their calorie counts on MFP. But the other half is happy with my blissful ignorance :/
Good luck with spin class tonight!

hello my friends!
I am feeling great today, positive attitude and ready to face angry patients and long hold times. haha.
I am excited, this weekend my sister and I are taking our kids to Iowa. My aunt and uncle have a farm that's been in the family for over 150 years and they've always had a labor day party there for end of summer...but my uncle passed away a few years ago and my aunt has been struggling to keep up with the farm so she is selling it and moving into a condo in town, so this may be the last time we get to see it.
It's super sad because whenever anyone asks me "what's your happy place?"...this farm and the pond on the farm are what comes to mind first. I have so many memories there.
I really wanted DH to come too but he has no more PTO hours to use that aren't already scheduled and being a holiday weekend, he just can't get off work...so it's just the girls this weekend. I am excited to see my cousin also, who couldn't make the trek from Virginia when we went to Galena a couple weeks ago. I haven't seen her in over a year and she is my favorite person on Earth.
QOTD: I think it was probably Corey Haim or River Phoenix...yeah. both sad stories. of course I also loved NKOTB a LOT but they came later haha.
Morning: lots of coffee w/sf coffeemate
B: 1/2C overnight oats w/1/2C unsweetened vanilla almond milk, 1/4C greek L&F Vanilla yogurt, 1/4c blueberries and cinnamon
L: leftover chicken tikka masala w/poblanos and cauliflower rice
D: not sure what DH is going to make tonight but probably turkey italian sausages w/kale and sweet potatoes...either that or leftovers because we have a lot of soup in the fridge still!
ES: L&F greek yogurt & pretzels or baby carrots & hummus
Planning another run tonight after dinner...I hope my knees can stand it, I want to try going a little further this time if I can convince Story to stay home w/DH lol.

Have a great time in Iowa! That sounds so special. I visited a college friend on her family farm in Ames IA a long time ago and it was incredibly beautiful there!
Also, not sure if you are a Simpsons fan but there is an absolutely hilarious sketch with Lisa getting addicted to a teen heartthrob hotline, and everyone on it was named Corey. It was soooo my youth in a nutshell!

After we sold my grandparents house, I had one of the photos turned into a painting for my sister. With your skills, you could probably do that yourself but I used someone I found on Etsy. It was a way of keeping our happy place close even though someone else lived there now. Just a thought for hi as you visit your family farm - maybe get some good pictures in case you want to do that in the future?

Good morning~ It's Tuesday and another great day to pile on new projects! But the good news (if you can call it that) is I will earn comp time but it just means I have to work longer for the time being... I am tired and my hip is sore again. I don't know what happened. I recently learned my chiropractor is out for the next 6 months due to illness/surgery. This is sad on many levels... this man who is an athlete, walks the walk and is dedicated to health and well-being needs open heart surgery. My hip will be fine, I pray that he is as well. I'm going to the gym tonight anyway, I need to work out - I have been too lazy for a few days - maybe that is why I'm sore. Anyway here's to a better day for all.
QOTD - i Donny Osmond then, now and always!
Accountability - good, but I had an extra cup of tea last night
TSS 2 years 9 months 168.7 - WTH - it's been a week at 168 and I'm considering a fat fast. I need to read up first.

Sad! I hope he recovers quickly!
Also, I want to be so good that I need to fess up to an extra cup of tea in my accountability... #lifegoals

QOTD- Davey Jones, Bobby Sherman and Robert Brown the older brother in Here Come the Brides. And of course I'll never forget a young William Shatner.
I made my 50 as of yesterday at 51.8 miles for the month. It was either the dreadmill or 86 degrees outside, I opted for the heat. Today it's supposed to be 98 so I'll probably stick to the dreadmill and watch something on Netflix while I walk. I did a little (very little) jogging yesterday and it felt like my head was going to explode so I went back to walking.
The move of my roommate was pretty successful, I don't hear much now so hopefully my sleep will be uninterrupted. But I'm still dealing with the chaos of the move, maybe it'll help me in my attempts at organization, you never know.
Have a great day everyone!
