Big hugs Sheila. When my daughter moved out the spring, it put me in a funk. We are very close. I just miss her. It does get easier. And it's so wonderful when you do have time together.

So true. You would think I would be used to it by now, she is a sr and this is the 4th yr she is leaving. But it's hard no matter what.

I do not think I got 'used to it' on some level until after my son got married. They are married 7 years and yesterday I randomly cried out of the blue missing him and his family.

That is so hard, if I remember your son is in India, right? It's not like a jump and a skip and you can visit them. I'm just hoping my daughter eventually moves back to the west coast.

Good morning~ I had a nice very chill weekend also. We didn't go see Robs mom in So Cal after all and was able to get some things done around the house and have lots of down time. After the 100 trips we took down there last year, this did not hurt my feelings one bit. I'm actually happy to be at work today, weird I know but food is easier during the scheduled week. This weekend I had too much time on my hands and I struggled a bit wanting to snack, but was good - no BLT's of any kind. I need to stay busier! Today I am working late, no gym, leftovers, DVR shows and will probably go to bed early.

QOTD - 2 pillows - It used to always be goose down to mold to my neck in whatever position and stay cool. Then we got a king sized bed and I couldn't find any I liked king size - so went with a down alternative and I'm still struggling with them. I may go back to my standard size until I can find king goose downs I like - I miss them terribly.

Happy Monday all! Weekend was good but busy...I desperately need a weekend of lounging at home in pajamas not talking to anyone and no chores to do. I think my next opportunity to pencil that in is late September, but I'm going to do it.

QOTD - too many pillows, I sleep with two right on top of each other (a firm one on the bottom, a squishy one on top) and a body pillow too. I've been trying to use the knee pillow thing also since it was recommended (I'm a side sleeper) but the body pillow is better I think!

Accountability - Me at whole foods yesterday....

"oh look, those almond biscotti are so tiny"

"biscotti's not very sweet, I want one"

"oh, but they are tiny, I can have more than one, I'll get a few"

I had them after dinner..just one...then just one more....then all of them (5). Then i had dumping and spent some quality time on the bedroom floor -- near the bathroom, it just seemed better than lying on the bathroom floor....then I went to bed because i felt so crappy....and then a few hours later, a nice bout of RH with a 42 BS. I know some here get even lower BS and I'm amazed that you are able to function enough to get a snack; I was so shaky and out of sorts at that point.

Moral of the story - a former boss once said "it's not that we're slower learners, it's that we're quick forgetters". I just might be both.

When I checked in yesterday they said, we keep warm chocolate chip cookies on each floor - help yourself. *****membered cookies are an area of no control? That?s right, ME! Success One day in a row, lol

I can so relate to but it's so tiny, I'll have only one...and then eating the whole thing. Happy you survived it, even if it was on the floor.
