Hi Everyone! Was everyone taking a 3 day weekend yesterday? I don't remember seeing such a slow Friday in a long time. Hope everyone was out enjoying themselves :)

I don't have much on the schedule this weekend, which is nice! I am still so floored that I get weekends off, now. It feels so luxurious to have 2 days off every 5 days, lol--don't ever take that for granted! Anyway, I will do my meal prep. grocery shop and get to the gym today. Other than that, I might try to get out for a nice nature walk--temps are in the 70s today!

Accountability: I had some squares of chocolate last night...

QOTD: Do you have a B&W or very old TV show that you still like to watch? Grim introduced me to the Rifleman, which I hadn't ever seen, but it has become a Saturday morning staple in our house. You could play a drinking game and chug whenever little Mark gets kidnapped, but you'd probably die of alcohol poisoning, haha. I used to love watching Father Knows Best, too, but it was devastating to learn that all of the kids had really sad IRL lives.

We are going out to dinner with friends tonight, and I am not sure which restaurant, yet, so no plan for dinner, yet!

Exercise: Chipping away at my 50 mile running challenge, one mile at a time!

Good morning JB and happy Saturday!

my Saturday is pretty busy, Sunday a mix of chill and have tos. Today I have a Pilates/TRX class, then I drive an hour north to my step sisters and I get to hang out with her and my newest niece, until my other step sister gets there and then we are going to try to plan a trip for my oldest nieces graduation trip next summer! Fun stuff!

i think I mentioned I was trying the 9Round?s boxing/cardio circuit again yesterday (since I failed when I tried it at 300+). I loved it and definitely adding it into my rotation. Some of the cardio sections were challenging but I did it all!! Whoo hoo.

edited for QOTD - given the first episodes are close to 30 years old now, I'm going with law and order as my favorite old show

menu is a bit up in the air but coffee with PP is already in; I?ll hit Starbucks on the way back from Pilates for some egg bites, and lunch/dinner up in the air. I?ll take some nuts and a protein bar up north with me.

have a spectacular Saturday everyone!

Nooooo, L&O cannot be considered an old show! Relatedly, have you listened to that podcast yet!? I want a full review after you do!

Great job with the boxing/cardio :)

Good morning menu friends! A beautiful day and 55 degrees here in the cornfields of Illinois so I wore a jacket when Miss Lily and I did our first walk. Today is pack up day and we head to Pine Village Indiana to work for three weeks at a church camp there. New sights and smells for Miss Lily! QOTD Rifleman, the Untouchables and 77 Sunset Strip are all old shows hubby introduced me to that I now love. Accountability was spot on food and stepwise yesterday and weight is 122 today. Here's the food plan for the day B 2/3c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 4 oz deli chicken and cheese D 4 oz green onion brat burger S if needed meat stick. Have a wonderful day full of healthy choices everyone!

Wow, I am so not ready for 55 degrees yet. It's enough of a jump to go from mid 90s to 70. I'm not ready for "real" fall temps yet!

Its supposed to be low seventies this afternoon. And it seems like just last week it was low 90s. Typical Illinois weather though. If you don't like the weather--just wait around a minute!

Good morning JB and Jen

yes JB the two day weekend is a precious commodity only reserved for the highly privileged. Glad you joined the ranks.

Moms 81st Birthday weekend continues I bought her a boat load of clothes I need her to try on and get a passport photo for her. I need to update it so she can come with us to the Caribbean in February and I promised I'd take her to the ice cream parlor today. Accountability was good yesterday no snacks and all vitamins and liquid no exercise I took mom to dinner for her birthday

I'm having my coffee now and plan on a garden burger and egg for breakfast but after that it's up in the air depending on which way the wind blows me today looks like it will be too cool for the pool so we will see.

Mom and I at dinner yesterday
