Oh gosh, head injuries are no joke! Do you have any concussion symptoms? I'd suggest going to urgent care to get that evaluated just as much as the gash.

QOTD- When it's not cloudy there are great views. They built apartments across the street so we lost our view of the west hills. I always marvel when I come around a corner and see amazing views of Mt Hood. And one of my favorite views is on a section of I-5 you have a perfect view of the river and downtown Portland as you are whizzing by. They set up events in Waterfront Park, the Rose Festival Fun Center, and all of the other events. During Rose Festival they bring in Navy ships from the US & Canada that dock at the waterfront and it is amazing to see them.
Accountability went out the window yesterday, will rein it in today. I also did not get a walk in, it was after 6 by the time I got home from my counseling session and it started pouring down rain. I will get back to it today. I only need 5 more miles for the 50 challenge.
I'm switching my roommates bedroom with my office, so I have a buffer between us. Hopefully I will sleep better, but it's a pain to move everything. I need to move my internet into that room and re-route the cables so it will probably not happen until the weekend as I need my office tomorrow since it is my work from home day.
I have to go to a site meet in a couple of hours, so I better get back to work.
Have a great day everyone!

Hi JB and Menuers,
The Cat and the hot sauce reminds me when my god daughter was about two her mom and I fed her chilli and every time we gave her a bite we'd add some hot sauce to see her hot level. She never flinched just kept eating so we quit because we were worried CYS would come after us. LOL
QOTD: We have a lot of hills and mountains here is Western Pennsylvania so there are many beautiful views but sad to say I very rarely notice. Here is a photo from last year of DH and me doing Segway Pittsburgh at the point where the 3 rivers comes together. Anytime you see a photo of Pittsburgh you will see this fountain in it.

I've never been on a Segway. Do they have horns?

No horns I don't think. I never needed to use one. It was my first activity I ventured out to do that I never would have thought of pre surgery. Very easy and very fun. We try to Segway every time we're somewhere new. Some rides are guided and some are self guided. You learn all kinda stuff you wouldn't have on the guided tours. Very inexpensive too.

QOTD: I wanted to add, even though this isn't a view I have everyday.....it was more of a one time deal, but it has stuck out in my mind because it was so beautiful! During my hospital stay after my rny surgery, there was this sitting area at the end of the hall on the top floor I was on that had this huge window across the entire wall that had the most perfect view of the harbor and city. It was breathtaking and I looked forward to my walks up and down the hall just so I could take in that view. I'd always stop to rest in that sitting area and just stare out of that window. I was actually kind of disappointed when I found out I was only going to have a one night stay in the hospital. Lol. It was one of the most pleasant hospital stays I've ever had.

Good morning and happy thursday! Yesterday was not good in terms of food. I had great intentions. Then around 11 we got an email that the pizza would be delivered by noon. No problem for me, because I actually don't like pizza, and when they've brought food in before, they either deliver to your office what you ordered, or just leave it in the kitchen area. Not yesterday. Apparently, it was for the August birthdays (including mine) and I had to go to the conference room and participate. Anyway, I had a small slice of pizza and a bite of cake (I hate it when people actually pay attention to what you eat) and paid for it with a blood sugar crash. that little indiscretion resulted in blood sugar of 40 and a feeling of death. Anyway, I tried to rebound and have my chicken as my pre-gym snack, but my day was basically shot to hell. I had another crash down to 49 after dinner (chicken and salad), so I ended up shoving more food in my mouth to try and rectify the situation. I have a food hangover this morning and would prefer not to eat, but no that's not the solution.
Tonight is supposed to be "bingo under the stars". One of the outdoor shopping malls not far from my office has bingo on the "great green". They set up tables etc. and for $20 you get dinner and bingo cards. But, I got dragged onto an "all hands" project yesterday and don't know if I'll be able to make it. sigh.
QOTD: the view from my office is pretty as it overlooks the foothills (if you can get past looking at the parking garage from next door) I'll try and post a picture tomorrow.
My plan:
B: I have a package of costco egg bites. I'll likely heat up one and see if that holds me
L: my chicken from yesterday that I didn't eat
D: bingo night came with a bunch of choices from local restaurants, but we signed up late and all that were left were the veggie options (well, the chicken shwarma sandwich was still available, but my friend who bought the tickets completely missed it). I picked the kale chopped salad, but will likely stop at jersey mikes to get some sliced meat to go along with it. Either that, or one of my favorite restaurants is right there so I may see if they'll sell me a piece of salmon. We call it "crack salmon" because it's 100% addicting. It's just grilled and seasoned with salt and pepper, but amazingly delicious
