What's on your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?

Happy Hump Day!
Thanks for the well wishes yesterday. I definitely feel better and I even slept until my alarm went off this morning (practically unheard of!)... Today my team is welcoming another person into the exact same position as I have (there are four of us, total). We were supposed to start on the same day, but his clearance was delayed. Anyway, now I am not the new guy anymore! Yay! In fact apparently I am supposed to train him on a few things today, lol.
Accountability: Didn't eat lunch, but doubled up on the steak tacos for dinner. I think it came out about even?
QOTD: On a typical day, how much time do you give yourself between waking up and leaving the house? In an ideal world I have around 2 hours. I know it's silly, but slow relaxing mornings are life to me, and since I am naturally a morning person, I am not opposed to waking up early to take time and slowly sip coffee, read the paper, and do my meal prep (including posting here), before getting physically ready.

Good morning JB and menu friends! I'm a morning person too and like at least 2 hours before I wake hubby in the morning. I love the peace and quiet before the busyness of the day starts and need an hour for a walk with my buddy,Miss Lily too. Accountability was great food and stepwise yesterday and weight is 122 today. We'll head out when it gets lighter in a bit for our first walk of the day. Don't know why but I woke a whole hour before I was supposed to today but once I'm fully awake I can't go back to sleep so I just got up . Here's the food plan for the day B 2/3c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 4 oz deli chicken and cheese D 2 scrambled eggs with cheese S if needed 1 c skinny pop popcorn(white cheddar flavor). Have a great day full of healthy choices everyone!
Good morning, everybody!
Today is the first day of school for our two sons. They will be a Senior and a Sophmore in high school. With that we bring to a close a pretty unproductive break for them. At the beginning of the summer I wrote that the Sophomore was taking an online Biology class and the Senior was getting his Driver's license. And that they both might work.
The Biology class is only about 60% of the way complete, only two hours of driving were done and nobody worked. We went on a short family vacation, and to a few concerts, and they did help me with repainting the porch doors. And on a positive note, they didn't cause any trouble or anything like that. But finishing the class and driving didn't seem like too much to ask. Ugh.
I learned a lot observing Juvenile Court yesterday, and it will definitely help me better understand our organization for our fundraising efforts.
The woman in front of me in the Courthouse security line had an ankle monitor on. So of course I couldn't stop trying to imagine what she had done. I am going with embezzlement.
QOTD: Hours. I get up around 5:00 and spend time on the computer or reading and drinking flavored water with Miralax and Benefiber. (I don't know if the Benefiber does anything, but I bought this huge jug and I'm determined to use it). Then I go to Crossfit at 6:30. When I get home at 7:40, it is a struggle to get eat breakfast, shower and get dressed and out the door in order to catch the 8:30 train.
Breakfast: Chicken
Snack: Protein bar
Lunch: Catered, probably beef
Snack: Jerky
Dinner: TBD last of the chicken if nothing else
Have a great day, All!

Happy first day back to your guys! I am amazed at how this generation is not "in to" driving. I grabbed the keys at 16 and was outta there! But its a whole generational thing these days, I guess. Is it the convenience of UBER? I don't get it'!

I'm not sure that it is transportation related. I don't think that my Sophomore left the house ten times this summer.

How hard did you have to bite your tongue to not say "told you", lol? Glad it worked out and sounds like will be better for her. I can't imagine how kids deal with all the pressure these days.
