What's on your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?

Hellooooo Everyone! I had a great first day! My coworkers are lovely and the job is really interesting. I texted a friend and said that it was easily 100X better than any of my best days last year. Yesss!
However, it only took one day of work for me to fall into some bad habits. First, I didn't know that I would be going out to a "learning lunch" with a coworker, so I didn't eat anything I brought. Grim calls it "taking food on a walk" because I just toted food back and forth last year, and never ate it. Second, I woke up at 3am unable to fall back asleep. I am not stressed, obviously, so I have no idea why I couldn't sleep. Not cool, body.
Accountability: For lunch I had a salad with bacon, almonds and dried cranberries. I didn't have the dressing. I also had a Venti coffee with Almond Milk. No exercise--I missed my train and didn't get home until 7:30pm. Ended the day at 898 calories and 7500 steps.
QOTD: What is one small lifestyle change that has made a big difference for your weight loss? I had gotten very lazy about drinking last year, so I made a real effort to stay hydrated over the summer and I know it is helping me in numerable ways! I feel so much better when I drink at least 80oz a day.
Exercise: Ok, MUST get on an earlier train and get my ass to the gym, because I am 8 miles behind where I wanted to be on my 50 mile challenge! I will try to at least do a 5K tonight.

Morning JB & menu makers! JB so awesome your 1st day was so good and you have good co workers. Love the pic, my cheats look more like chocolate bars or pastries! lol
OMG Grim is so right about "taking food for a walk," I must admit to doing this a lot. Every day I bring a crap ton of snacks such as meat sticks, power crunch bars, cheese whips and don't end up eating them and I truck them back and forth to work. I just need to commit and eat them or leave them at home.
Waking up at 3am is IMO still middle of the night, I am sure you are not stressed but more so a nervous energy about new job, new people, new surroundings and making sure you get the train, been there done that. I hope you get the right train home tonight and get home before 730pm!!

We tried FRIED REECES CUPS at the fair a few years ago. I'd be sick if I had more than a bite but the one bite was the most melty delicious thing ever created.
