G'morning all!
JB - wishing you tons of luck on your new job and I hope it's less stressful than your last one.
My family and I were on a wonderful mini vacation at Disneyland and Universal Studios. The new Starwars attraction is out of this world. It's created as if you step into another planet and the vendors and staff stay in character when you ask them a question. Very cool. I could spend days at the outpost bazaar. The Harry Potter world at Universal studio is the same, you feel like you are in the village where they go for their outings. Between the two we thought Starwars was done better, we read Disney spent $1B to create it. Money well spent! Very happy geek family.
QOTD: almost 17 years at current job.
Accountability: I tried to stick to protein and veggies during meal times but in between meals were a problem. Some non bari food found its way into my hands and mouth; caramel popcorn, soft warm pretzel, licks of icecream, butterbeer (at HP world) and the weight is up 3 lbs. But I'm back on the strict and narrow.
My meals for the day:
- Coffee, coffee, and more coffee
- Chicken fajita (from TJ)
- Hb eggs + Tuna
- Yogurt or parm cheese
Have a great start of the week, everyone!

I loved the pics! Looked like too much fun :) I'm not a Star Wars girl but I'm dying to go to HP. I've heard it's more of a mall than rides or exhibits, though. What did you think?

There was just one ride (in the castle) and a silly rollercoaster one, the rest is the Hogsmeade (the village) and the experience. Although I heard the one in Orlando FL is better and more. I think their shortcoming is that Universal Studio does most of their rides VR (virtual reality) so you are stationary, but Disneyland has actual rides. Having said that, the castle ride was really topsy turvy and almost made me sick to my stomach even if it was VR.

Good luck on the new job, I know you're going to do great!!
I'm back to work after my 2 weeks of recovery, and I only have 130something emails to sort through. Ugh! I had two pretty major projects officially start while I'm out, so I've got to get all caught up on those as well. Luckily my team has done a great job in my absence-- plus both my orchid and my betta fish are still alive-- so I can't say I've got too much to complain about.
QOTD: I've been at this job for 7 years now, damn! Before this job I went through several layoffs and didn't spend more than nine months at a job, so it's great to have some good longevity. I would love to keep working here until I retire, I really enjoy the work (I'm a data analyst in rehab accreditation), the people are great, plus I've got a pension so hooray!
Today-- 14 days post-op, soft food stage
B: Greek yogurt
L: Overnight oats made with vanilla protein shake
D: Tuna salad maybe?
S: Oodles of Fairlife skim, this stuff has literally saved my life
E: I'm cleared to go in the pool, so I might go walk laps in the pool at the gym. Otherwise I'll hit the treadmill for a little bit, but either way I'll take my kiddo to the gym with me, he loves getting to run around and wear himself out and after my low-energy weekend he really needs that.
Happy Monday, all!

The surgeon said my incisions are healing really well, and he actually gave me the OK last Wednesday! He's not worries about infection or anything, especially since they pool is uber-chlorinated, so that was really nice :)
