What's on your Monday Menu, RNYers?
Good morning everyone,
I got to do this quick today because I have a super busy day. Heading to surgeons office to see if we can find that dissolving stitch that keeps abscessing so I can finally heal this incision line. Just in case you don't remember I been trying to heal since February. Then a late start to work so very busy Monday after that stopping at a friends to bring her dinner. She had surgery for tumor removals a few weeks ago and fingers crossed the doctors got everything. I am sure chemo is in her near future so I pray a lot.
QOTD if you not 20 minutes early your late in my book.
I did have my pool party Saturday and Rocked the two piece (stay tuned for photo Friday) so for all you who say I really do not look like a RNY patient this proof is in the two piece. It was my closest friends at the party and about 4 drinks in it did not matter. Then last week I talked about my Planned cheat yesterday the World famous burnt Almond torte. LoL of course it did go down. It was about an hour of misery before I could get it to come back out. And as this journey goes LESSON LEARNED!!!
Accountability I was good with my Vitamins and liquids but I may have not made the best food choices however the scale wasn't screaming to get off either this morning so I'm ok with that.

G'morning JB & menu peeps!
I had a great weekend. DD arrived home on Sat and I can't be happier to have the whole family under the same roof again. I keep forgetting how funny she is and how much joy she brings into the household. I'm also amazed at what a young woman she has become. She talked my ear off all weekend but I love listening to her ideas, plans for the future and all the gossip about her friends back east. Aaah, to be young and carefree.
Today we are prepping for our mini vacay starting tomorrow. Luna is being picked up by the dog sitter. When we go on vacation she gets to go on vacation too and hangs out with other fur friends at a country home.
This year was hard planning a vacation because DD wouldn't be able to get home till now but then DS starts school on Aug 14. So we had a very small window. Normally we would have gone to Hawaii but as I said too short of a window so we decided to do a Disneyland trip. Who knows, it could be our last hurrah to DL with our kids being 21 and 17. The attraction is the new Star Wars town. My family is HUGE Star Wars fans and DH being the geek he is has planned the whole thing, about what we do at what time to maximize our time and hit all that Star Wars town has to offer. We are there till Sat, so in my mind we have plenty of time but we gotta follow the rules when it comes to Star Wars and my husband! Last night he was asking kids if they would dress up as SW characters, I was laughing bcz the kids were rolling their eyes but DH wanted them to be dressed and didn't realize there is no way they would do it. In his perfect world he is Han Solo (with that vest on), DD is Rey (she actually has the costume), DS is BB8 (can you imagine in the heat of LA and the padding needed to make my lanky son look round?), and I am Leah (I said no to donut hair). I proposed to be queen Amidala instead, but was nixed bcz the timeline would be wrong! Oh the travesty!
QOTD: I am early, always. My SIL drives me crazy. We are supposed to meet at 1:00 for lunch, I'm there at 12:45 and get a text that she is jumping in the shower. She shows up at 2:00. I know this and you would think by now I should adjust my time, but I can't. So I just sit there seething. At work I don't tolerate tardiness.
Accountability: last night I had sushi with rice, couple of rolls but still...with rice.
My meals for the day:
We are cleaning up the fridge today before the trip, so lots of left overs : chicken meatballs, Italian meatloaf, chicken skewers.
Have a great start of the week. I might not post any more till next week but I'll be thinking of you guys. Mwah!
