What's on your Monday Menu, RNYers?
No, she has been on short & then long-term disability through her former employer. There is no time limit on the longterm but they are trying to quit paying. First the company bumped the case to an attorney to apply for SSDI (still pending) and then terminated her insurance payments all together. DW's neurologist says that an internal appeal will fail (always does) but that an appeal to the Insurance Commissioner or an ARISA action would probably overturn it. But that will take months (or more) to go through with no income for her (and all the attorneys will take their chunk first!).

Good morning JB and menu folks. Cape Cod sounds like a great place, can see and smell the Cape in my mind, I love it there as well. Quick drive by for me as will be a busy day, I am working a half day tomorrow and then off to Indiana to visit friends.
Accountabilty - not great.
QOTD - I am early and always on time, drives me crazy when meetings are scheduled at work and we have strragglers, it leaves the wrong impression in my book and I always start my meetings on time, when I first started this job I raised alot of eyebrows when I said I was not waiting for people and would start the meetings. People are not late for the meetings I run any more.
B- egg salad
S - cukes and dip
L - salami and cheese
S - ham roll up
D - sausage and cukes from the garden.

QOTD: I like to be organized and early to everything. Too much frantic makes me bonkers.
so I decided to make fresh bread for my husband yesterday. the dough didn't rise right so ended up being more like scones/biscuits. yes I tasted more of it than I should have.... with some butter.
food plan today:
egg/ground beef spicy patty mix
gizzards
veggie dish with homemade tomato sauce.
forgot my shoes at home for walking so I can either walk at lunch in my work shoes or run a few errands instead.

There are cinnamon scones here on the counter and it's killing me not to tear into them. It's weird how I could look past them without temptation yesterday but they are actually yelling my name loudly from the kitchen right now.
If they were right out of the oven I would be completely defenseless...

Mornin' All!
I don't have to be anywhere today, but the electrical inspector from the city is coming by at some point to check the electrician's work on our porch (which he finished up last Thursday or Friday), so I have to be here when he arrives. I have no idea when he's coming - hopefully the project manager will at least give me a window so I'm not stuck here all day. Although it's not like I don't have anything to do around here... It's another beautiful day, though, and I'd like to get out and take a long walk...
accountability was good yesterday
QOTD: I am always early to things. I HATE being late. As far as other people, I can tolerate it when people are like ten minutes late, but I start to get cranky after that, unless they have some good excuse. I have one friend who was always, always, always at least a half hour late. It drove me INSANE. After sitting there twiddling my thumbs waiting for her way too many times (this was before the era of smartphones, which are a Godsend), I started telling her we were meeting a half hour before I actually intended to meet (e.g., if it was a 6:30 dinner, I'd tell her we were meeting at 6:00). That helped quite a bit...
not sure what the food will be like today since I don't know how much of the day I'll be at home - and what MIL might want to do today, if anything. Ugh. (in addition to being a chronic early bird, I'm more comfortable with plans!). But here goes:
4 years 2 months out:
B: protein pancakes topped with plain Greek yogurt, diced 1/2 mango, and SF syrup, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: salad with diced turkey and light Asian Toasted Sesame dressing (I used to always make my own salad dressing, but this is seriously good...)
AS: light yogurt and/or raw veggies with ranch Greek yogurt dip
D: pulled pork and grilled zucchini (maybe marinated in the above dressing)
ex: I hope to get out and walk. Or go to the gym. Hopefully the electrical inspector will come this morning so we can get this over with!
have a great day, all!

Good morning everyone. Its supposed to be 90 here today I think. I am headed in to the dealership to have a recall fixed on our car. They said 3-5 hours. So, it's going to be a hurry up and wait day!
My daughter has an interview for her dream job today! She has talked about working here since she was in college. She has been working graveyard since graduating from nursing school and it's taking a toll on her. Send some positive love and energy her way today.
QOTD- I am an early person, as is everyone in my family. People that are late drive me crazy.
Food for the weekend was good. I ate too many pork rinds though. I don't think I am going to buy them anymore. I stayed within my calorie range, but I should of been eating chicken, not salt and chili pork rinds.
Food for today-
Coffee with skinny girl sugar-free cinnamon syrup and sf caramel pumpkin foam. ( I love Marshalls)
2 eggs with parm
chomps in my purse and sugar free jerky while waiting at the dealership
Deli meat ( I am planning on walking to the store while waiting on my car)
Halibut with asparagus
Lots of water and vitamins always
