Hello Monday, we meet again! Today is my last Monday off before the new job starts! I can't believe it.

I'm currently on Cape Cod in a gorgeous home that my cousin is renovating, and will soon be a rental property for her. It's serious luxury here. My friends are staying here with me, and we are heading to the beach all day as soon as everyone is up and ready.

Accountability: Thankfully it was a small pouch day, so it was easy to skip a lot of bad choices last night.

QOTD: Are you generally on time or late? I'm one of those annoying, uber-organized, super early people. I could not be late if I tried. The two friends I am here with are both sooooooo ADHD and always crazy late (like 3-4 hours late to everything...) I love them both dearly, but today is going to be a long day for me.

Today's menu is up in the air since we'll be eating all of our meals out. But my aim is to have coffee and eggs for breakfast, and fish for lunch and dinner! I have tons of good snacks like pistachios, cheese, carrots, jerky.

Exercise: Just lots of swimming and walking on the beach! Since I think I'm awake many hours before anyone else will be up, I might go for a walk after my coffee, now, too.

Cape Cod sounds delightful.

QOTD: I hate super late. I am generally on time, don't sweat a few minutes.

Feel like I am playing a never ending game of beat the clock. Tonight I teach my first class of Mental Health First Aid Certification. Need to prep today and go in the pool. :)

Eats:

  • green protein smoothie
  • chicken schwarma, veg curry
  • chicken, peppers and onion
  • S: protein, Greek yogurt, fruit

Do you make your own shwarma?

You can remind your class it's not a great idea to cardiovert/shock a patient by the wet shower. Good times!

Omg Deb I love you. No shocking by the wet shower. Ha.

No this was Trader Joe's marinated chicken thighs and you cook them yourself. So good. A recipe I do want to figure out though.

Happy Monday JB, and I hope you enjoy your last week of break! Friends and I spent a week on Cape Cod a few years ago (we did a VRBO in Brewster), we loved it. One of the couples actually moved to Massachusetts about a year after (although not to the Cape).

qotd - if you're not early, you're late is my motto! I always have a book because I'm always waiting on people but I'd rather wait than have them wait on me. People who dither tend to make me cranky....I mean, why decide as you're supposed to be walking out the door "oh, let me load the dishwasher/cut the grass/fold a months worth of laundry". Clearly, I have issues.

accountability - I realized this weekend that I am not as on point with my logging/planing/discipline so this week I will be focusing on getting back into good habits.

menu today

coffee and tea of course

b - baby bel and carb master cottage cheese

l - 4 oz ever roast, 1 slice ultra thin cheddar

d - 4 oz ever roast, 1 slice ultra thin cheddar

s - half and half in coffee, light and fit X 2

Have a magnificent Monday!!

Sounds so familiar. One of the friends who is here this weekend does that all the time. She'll call me 2 hours after we are supposed to be somewhere together and says I should be happy for her because she finally cleaned up the dining room which had been "on her list" for two months. Congrats, I guess... sigh...

Didn't have a pic on Friday, so decided to include my early morning hair thing...good thing the cats don't care!!

Busy weekend, including some time with friends, which doesn't happen very often any more. Also lots of work around the house both inside and outside. Since DW lost her disability, we may need to downsize and move sooner rather than later, so lots of trying to fix things up and sort things out. Not my idea of a good time.

I made an attempt at protein popsicles this weekend, van CarbMaster yogurt, CarbMaster milk, 3 scoops of unflavored protein powder & blueberries & raspberries. Pretty yummy! I'll keep experimenting. Want to try some with cold brew coffee too.

Menu:

B: coffee x2 w Miralax thus far, TJ's ham in the near future

S: CarbMaster van yogurt w/ blackberries & slivered almonds

L: protein shake & then either cottage cheese or EverRoast chicken

S: more yogurt

D: TJ's salmon patty, baby carrots

E: an hour of lifting in the gym

I think the toussled look is "in" now! (although then again, I don't pay much attention to styles - hair or otherwise!!).

I sometimes make popsicles using SF pudding, protein powder, and a little unsweetened almond or cashew milk. Those are good, too.
