I'm now 9 months out, and my hair has thinned considerably. It grows very slow now, as opposed to before I had to get a hair cut every 4-5 weeks. I hope my hair will get back to where it was before Gastric Bypasss surgery, but who knows. I also have questions about vitamins etc. I'm using patches now, and some other supplements, does anyone have advise based upon experience on my hair, and supplements?

it does grow back for most of us. I didn't lose very much hair (certainly not enough for other people to notice), but it stopped at around 9-10 months out.

re: patches - some people have really good luck with them; others don't. Just monitor your labs to see if they're working for you. If not, you'll have to go back to oral supplements.

I believe your body absorbs vitamins better when ingested think about it if you can absorb quickly through your skin you would die every time you swam the chlorine would kill you. If your surgeon has approved this though who am I to say.
