What's on your Sunday Menu RNYers?

Morning all! It was a late, late, late, night on the boat cruise (super fun!) and I am pretty exhausted this morning. The astronomy portion was so interesting. It really doesn't take much to remember how teeny and insignificant we are when you look at the vast sky and learn just how big everything is out there.
This is me with my parents on the boat!
Going to lay low today, then head over to the Cape tonight for a fun night away with my sweetie! Then I will meet up with two good friends for a beach day on the Cape, Monday :)
Accountability: Pretty good with food (small pouch day, yay!), but Grim convinced me that it's not smart to try running on this foot yet, so I just did about 45 minutes on the recumbent bike instead. I know he is right, but I am itching to run again.
QOTD: Did your family have a go-to summer vacation spot when you were a kid? We spent most of our summer vacations along coastal Maine in Kennebunkport. It is still one of my favorite places on Earth!
Exercise: More biking, I guess?
- High Weight before LapBand: 200 (2008)
- High Weight before RNY: 160 (2015)
- Lowest post-op weight: 110 (2016)
- Maintenance Weight: 120 (2017-2019)
- Battling Regain Weight: 135 (current)
Mornin'!!
I spent pretty much all day yesterday trying to get the crap off my MIL's computer that the "tech service" she paid for put on there. I wanted to just reset the whole thing to the factory defaults, but oddly, the computer wouldn't let me - so I did what I could. Plus we changed all of her passwords. The only account that it appears someone tried to access was with her former bank on the east coast (which is still open until everything clears) - YIKES! But luckily, whoever tried to get in wasn't successful, and the bank's system locked the account. Her other financial accounts appear not to have been attempted, but all either ask security questions or texts you a security code when you try accessing them from a computer it doesn't "know" - so she would have been safe even if we hadn't changed the passwords. Whew. I'm very glad for these "barriers" - even though they're a bit of a hassle when it really is you trying to login to your own account!!
not sure what is on the agenda today, although we need to get over to Best Buy sometime this week to get her one of those phone systems that has a base unit and one or two wireless extension handsets, plus some cables to hook up her VCR/DVD player (she probably has them, but they haven't been unearthed yet). It's a wonderful day weatherwise, though, so I hope we'll be able to spend some time outside. We spent pretty much all day cooped up in her apt yesterday :-(
accountability: I overate my calorie limit yesterday by 100 kcal because of the protein bars I ate while at her apartment (they were better choices than anything she had on hand - and I didn't want to leave while doing all the computer stuff). Weight was down by 1.5 lbs this morning, though - but I was a bi****erlogged yesterday. Aiming for a good day today!
QOTD: we rarely took vacations when I was a kid - my father was a perpetual student (two masters and a PhD), and my mom was an elementary school teacher - so even though they had the time in the summer, they didn't have the $$. So no, no regular vacation spot. I only remember two vacations (other than times we visited grandparents): one in Washington DC and the other in Niagra Falls.
4 years 2 months out:
B: protein pancakes with plain Greek yogurt, 1/2 diced mango, and SF syrup, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: if we're home, my leftover fish taco from Friday. If we're not home...?? (hopefully NOT another protein bar. I get really sick of them after awhile!!)
AS: if home, L&F yogurt and/or raw veggies with ranch Greek yogurt
D: if we're home, a repeat of last night - a salad with cut-up deli turkey slices and this light Asian sesame dressing that I'm currently in love with. And maybe a grilled peach topped with Carbmaster Cinnamon Roll yogurt if I have enough calories left by the end of the day
ex: walking?
have a great day, all!

Good morning! That photo with your parents is so adorable! I'm glad you had a good time. Yesterday was great, a nice mix of active and chill. I didn't want to wait for my yoga class to start so I hit the cardio room instead. I got on the stair stepper thinking I'd only last a few minutes but I made it 30, which shocked me! The last time I got on I only lasted maybe 3 minutes before my legs turned to noodles. That was at least a year ago though. It felt great! My Instant Pot pork roast was INCREDIBLE! Holy cow it was the best ever! Its like a slow cooker on steroids and I'm sure it will stay in rotation if only for quick meat cooking! Between that and the BBQ, I see lots of ready to eat meat and I love that. This morning we are hiking a new trail and I'm excited! After I need to tackle my closet and dresser, they are overstuffed, unorganized and driving me crazy. When you have to make a huge mess to find that one thing, its time.
QOTD - We didn't have a spot, we went different places all the time. We lived in VA and NC when I was young - so Virginia Beach, The Outer Banks/Kitty hawk and DC, Philly, And all over New England too, It was great.
Accountability - to the letter!

Hi all! Feel like I've finally turned a bit of a corner on recovery and in a little less miserable. I'm going to see if I can make it on just Tylenol today, no opiates, so I can start driving kiddo to daycare in the morning. I've got another week off from work to recover and I'm really hoping to feel a bit more like myself soon.
QOTD: we drove from WA to IA every summer to see all of our extended family. Nothing fancy, but lots of good times!
Accountability: not so hot yesterday. Barely got down one protein shake because my pain was so bad, and not enough water either. Working hard to do better today.
Chow (puree/soft stage)
- half of a scrambled egg, cooked runny
- Fage 2% yogurt with a tiny bit of sf jam
- Pho broth with protein powder
- Canned chunk chicken with miracle whip
- Lots of sf Gatorade, though I'm really starting to get sick of it

Good evening everyone.
Not much planned today and I like it that way. I did a five mile ride on my recumbent bike.
tomorrow I have to see a specialist for lady stuff. We'll see how that goes. It's mainly for results of some lab work & such.
Qotd: it was hard since my mom was a single parent with zero help from my father. We'd go camping with my grandparents to a local lake called greenbelt or lake Meredith. After I turned 18 I started going with my grandparents to my grandpa's tank reunions across the country. Montana was so much fun due to my grandparents seeing Yellowstone. It was so cool to see them see it!
b:egg with soft cheese
s:soft beef jerky
l:PP shake
s:4 large shrimp and unfortunately some lays potato chips
d: hamburger soup
May add a homemade popsicle
Mel
We would pile in the station wagon for a 2 week road trip. I've been most places. Then another week on a lake in the Ozarks. My parents loved to travel. After we left they flew everywhere.
Glad you caught the stars.
The Mrs. has been cooking Jamaican comfort food. Eating rice and peas/actually little beans, and roasted vegetables. I lost a tragic battle with some pastry last night. Also having chicken thighs.
