What's on your Saturday Menu RNYers?

Hi Everyone! I had a great day yesterday with mom at the Downton Abbey exhibit. The clothes were so fabulous--you can't even imagine how incredible in real life... I would love to transport back to live in an F Scott Fitzgerald novel and wear these amazing Art Deco showpieces!
The fun continues today! We are taking a 3 hours astronomy cruise out of Plymouth MA tonight at 9pm. They'll take us out to the middle of the ocean where there are no lights to teach us about the stars. I am excited! We will likely go out for dinner in Plymouth first, so dinner is not set in stone, but I am hoping for scallops :)
Accountability: Good day! I'm still stalled--I'm the exact same weight since week 2 of Keto when I lost a bunch, then have stayed the same on good days & bad days, with & without exercise... Hmm. #annoyed
QOTD: What song**** you with nostalgia every time you hear them? I am such an 80's girl at heart and I was soooooo into rollerskating at the rink (Roll On America!) every weekend. Every time I hear early Michael Jackson (the Thriller years), Cyndi Lauper, anything from Footloose, Tina Turner, etc I am right back on the rink with my friends in 1984.
Exercise: My foot still hurts, but it is much better than it was, so I think I see some hope on the horizon. I will try to go run a very slow careful mile in the new running shoes today just to keep it going.

Mornin' Weekenders!!
wow JB - sounds like a really fun couple of days!! I need to look for some fun stuff to do with MIL. Although just getting her out of her apt can be a challenge - I think she's having some real stress/anxiety issues and evidently deals with it by barricading herself in her house. At least I got her over to Panera Bread yesterday - and then over to our house to play with the cats for awhile!
I took the first dose of my oral typhoid vaccine at 3:30 this morning (the travel clinic consulted with a pharmacist, and he/she said there were no contraindications for gastric bypass patients. Hmmm. Well, this is a research/teaching hospital (and we have a pharmacy school on campus as well), so I'm assuming they're more up on this stuff than most, so...). Anyway, I've been awake ever since. I'm feeling a bit queasy and have a slight headache, which I didn't prior to taking it (and which are common side effects), so it must be doing *something*.
I'm planning on going to sunrise yoga this morning - and maybe for a walk, too. We're going over to MIL's later this morning to try to deal with this computer crap she has going on (she paid one of those online scam artists to "fix" it, and I'm concerned she's going to open herself up to further fraud - like credit card fraud, identity theft, or whatever). I deleted a bunch of stuff they'd installed on her computer (or had her download and install, anyway), but I'm just going to blow the whole thing away today. And have her change all her passwords to all her accounts. She doesn't seem overly concerned about this - she's only ticked about losing the $200 to have them "fix" it, but I am really concerned that that won't be the end of it. UGH. I don't know why she didn't call me if she was having problems since I worked in IT for years. Maybe she didn't want to bother me? I have no idea.
accountability was good yesterday but my weight is up this morning. Lots of fluids today...
4 years 2 months out:
B1: Chobani black cherry yogurt (an hour after the typhoid vaccine - to help with queasiness - but it didn't help much)
B2: protein pancakes topped with plain Greek yogurt, diced 1/2 mango, and SF syrup, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: I think we're going to go to a cafe with the moms (mine and MIL). So something safe.
AS: light yogurt and/or raw veggies dipped in ranch Greek yogurt
D: maybe pulled pork and grilled zucchini
have a great day, everyone!
My Mom did the same thing she got a call from Brian Wilson at Microsoft, they charged her $250 and it turned out they installed key logging software, and changed her bios so we had to trash the computer. The sad thing is after the new computer changing all of her passwords and bank accounts she clicked on a link you have a virus, and we had to do all of it again. This time they didn't change the bios so it didn't require a new computer. So many scam artists out there, just makes me mad.
She didn't know Brian Wilson was one of the Beach Boys....

yikes - I hope they didn't install key logging software - I'm not even sure there's a way to check for that. I'll look into it, though. At least her financial institutions all ask security questions if you're logging in from a different computer - but the scammers may find their way around that, too. UGH.
Good morning, everybody!
I don't know about you guys, but I'm not feeling the Jalapeno Popper Stuffed Burger Patties. I've previously discussed my aversion to the Devil's Condiment, with Dcgirl. It really does cause me to lose my tether. But not withstanding that, who ever watched a Food Network segment on Juicy Lucy's and said " I'd love to bag the cheddar and replace it with a mayonnaise based garnish."
And poor VSG Christina, here she is losing 122 and pounds and looking like a snack, and she has to share a computer screen with overcooked balls of cole slaw. She has worked her butt off, show her some love and let her appear alongside Thai Beef Lettuce Wraps.
We are leaving for the airport shortly and I need to pack.
QOTD: Although the music that I listen to is much more 60's and 70's, certain 80's songs have the same effect on me: Madness, Men Without Hats, really anything from the very early MTV days.
Menu is up in the air today. Also our beloved roast beef/sea food restaurant in Massachusetts closed.
Breakfast: Omelette
Snack: nuts
Lunch: Roast beef
Dinner: Seafood
Have a great day, all!

Which restaurant closed? Sounds lie you need a trip to the original Kelly's on Revere Beach, if you are craving the roast beef / seafood combo!

It was this place way up on the Route 1A traffic Circle in Newbury/Newburyport called Courtyard Roast Beef. It's actually the place where me and Marilyn made the final decision to take a job and move to Chicago 21 years ago.
The last time I was back in Boston was right before surgery and, driving up Route 1, every single building seemed to remind me of a failed diet or regain. From Kowloon to McDonalds, to every Dunkin Donuts to all the convenience stores full of candy.

Yeah, agreed. Route 1 is not a haven for healthy lifestyles...
Safe travels!

Those dresses are absolutely gorgeous JB! Miss Lily and I are up and have our first long walk in already. Breakfast is done and now I'm starting to pack up the RV for the hour ten minute drive home. We'll be home for two weeks before we head out again. I did a load of clothes laundry late last night because when I get home I'll need to do bed linens from the camper and from the house since we've been gone3 months and no doubt the cats have made their home on the once clean bed. QOTD Cyndi Lauper,Hall and Oates,John Denver and Rick Springfield all make me nostalgic. Accountability was spot on food and stepwise yesterday and weight is 122. Here's the food plan for the day B 2/3c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L4 oz chicken salad D 4 oz grilled shrimp S if needed sm apple with 1 T peanut butter. Have a wonderful day full of smart and conscious choices everyone!
