What's on your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
QOTD:When my husband was 3 he lit a candle in his closet while his mom slept. (He caused minor damage to his bedroom but the fire department had to put out the fire...)His parents told him he had a juvenile record to keep him inline as a child/teen/young adult. He didn't find out until 55 that he never had a juvenile record and his parents lied to him!

Oh boy, that reminded me of some other things people would say about girls who shaved above the knees! I am sure that was supposed to be a cautionary tale, lol.

morning everyone!
I had such an off feeling yesterday all day, like I was a little irritable or anxious for no reason...I'm not sure but I feel a lot better today and back to my upbeat sunny disposition-ed self.
I bought a bunch of maxi dresses at the thrift store last weekend and every time I put one on now I am surprised all over again by my reflection in the mirror. You'd think after posting my fashion pics every morning for months I would be used to seeing myself but the novelty still has not worn off yet.
I spent a while avoiding the same types of clothes I always wore as a MO person because I have so many new options, so I didn't try maxi dresses for a while because I had several of them when I was heavy...but I really love the way they look on my new lean frame...they make me look so tall and slender! I'll post a pic of the 2 I've worn so far...I am wearing the blue one today :) I am saving my favorite one for vacation.
QOTD: I learned as a young child that my Dad was originally from Pennsylvania. well, I thought it was the same as Transylvania and I always thought my dad was from the home of Vampires. LOL...
Also, my babysitter told me if i swallowed apple seeds then I would grow an apple tree in my stomach and the branches would grow out my mouth so I was afraid to eat apples without them being sliced and de-seeded for years.
Morning: coffee w/SF coffeemate
B: 1/2C cottage cheese w/ 2oz diced black forest ham and 1 HB egg w/ ebb seasoning and dill
L: chicken summer salad again
AS: L&F greek yogurt
D: Probably shrimp & veggie noodles w/broccoli
ES: I got a new ice cream (knock off for halo top) at aldi, I havent tried it yet but I might tonight. DH says it's even better than halo top.
eta pic, oops.

Is there a brand of maxi dress you like? My legs are really short and so they all drag on the ground on me

honestly I don't have much brand loyalty when it comes to clothes. I just look for things that feel and fit nicely. I shop a lot at thrift stores so I just pick what they have LOL.
I am sort of short too @ 5'4" with a long torso and short legs so most of the maxi dresses I find drag on the ground...I end up either hemming them or just wearing heels or wedges. I also notice if you size down the length usually gets shorter too...If I find a size small dress it's usually the right length but if I go up to a large sometimes it drags on the ground
