What's on your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
on 8/1/19 4:19 am
Wow, this week is really flying by! I only have a little more than a wee****il I am back to work. Yikes.
My foot is still recovering. Better than it was yesterday at this time, but it still hurts to be on it so it's another day with ice and elevation. It's super hot and humid here, so other day stuck in the AC is not the worst thing, I guess! I would rather be at the beach, though!
Accountability: Blah. Didn't stick to my menu. Boredom and lack of movement is not good for me.
QOTD: Did you ever believe anything that in hindsight was completely ridiculous? I took a polaroid picture in the early 80s and somehow the background was completely blurred but the people were in focus. Some kid at camp convinced me that there are certain times of day when you can catch the earth's rotation on film. I took a lot of pictures trying to recreate that until I figured out it was a hoax.
Exercise: Nada.

hi all
I had naked wings last night which apparently means now I weigh 4 pounds more than yesterday? ha- happens every time... whatever. I also had some powdered peanut butter and low carb wheat fiber tortilla last night to see if I can get a bit more regular. we will see.
worked and went to eat wings then did 6 miles on the bike.
plans for today: work, gym (still trying out that place with the pool so may take advantage of it today when I'm in town. then drive 2 hours home.
I'm soooooo tired right now sitting here it is a mess...
Food for today:
coffee
water
more coffee
leftover wings and then i'm washing my hands of it
egg/ground spicy beef fritatta
not sure what else.
QOTD: my sisters dragged me outside when I was a kid and told me search lights were UFO's. I believed them. Also my oldest sister would flip the drain in the tub and it would make sucking noises and she would pretend she was drowning and flail around and make me pull her out. Yes people I am a natural blonde.
Boredom is not good for me either,JB. It makes me want to eat all the food. Lily and I have our first long walk in for today and we'll do 2 more at some point today. Accountability was spot on food and stepwise and weight is 122. I didn't hit 100 ounces of fluids though so that's the goal for today. Here's the food plan B2/3c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 4 oz deli chicken and cheese D cowboy burgers (seasoned chicken patty) S if needed sm apple with 1 T peanut butter. Have a wonderful day full of smart and conscious choices!
Good morning, everybody! Two more days until vacation.
I am going to go into the office early this morning to prepare for my speech this afternoon. I made some progress yesterday, but not enough to the point where I feel that I am ready. Also, Lollapalooza. I hadn't thought about it at the time I agreed to give this speech, but I may be speaking while the bands are warming up. I can certainly hear/feel the music in my office (even though I am quite far up), but hopefully the noise will not interfere with my call.
I will have to go to the gym tonight, making Marilyn and the boys vulnerable to being sucked into Friends and Family week. They will have to get creative with their excuses, promises to go tomorrow, etc. By Saturday, they will be comfortably blaming me for not making it excessively clear that Friends and Family week only lasted one week. By they I mean mostly the boys.
My daughter is in Rome today on a field trip from her studies in London. Hopefully, she is enjoying the trip within a trip.
QOTD: When I was a child the older kids told us that Dragon Flies were called Thread and Needles' and would sew our mouth shut with the thread and needles which they carried around. I was terrified.
Breakfast: Turkey meatballs and cottage cheese
Snack: Protein bar
Lunch: Pork
Snack: Jerky
Dinner: Lamb
Have a great day, all!

I've never really gotten comfortable with the Dragonflies, although I am almost certain they cannot sew.

HI JB and Menu folks. Love the pic, I used to get Hangry, not so much anymore....LOL. I was finally feeling better towards the end of the day yesterday so I went to the gym , did a couple of errands and back home to cook some chicken thighs on the grill with fried riced cauliflower and liquid aminos and fresh scallions. Yum.
