What's on your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?

Thanks Hala. The ice and elevation are helping already because I'm more able to isolate where the pain is really located. I think it's likely a torn ligament? I slathered arnica gel and lidocaine cream all over fir the pain. I'll try to find a brace, too.

When I really damage my ankle, (I could not put any weight on it) I used something similar to that:
or:
The one I had, was adjustable, plus offered real support. Some soft neoprene braces were good once I was well into recovery, more so for not bumping accidentally onto something.
BTW: using too much ice, too long, may prevent healing by not allowing proper blood flow.
I had 2 major injuries to my ankles, and that so painful to deal with. So sorry you have to deal with that. Hugs.

hey guys, late post again for me but just got caught up on work from the morning.
I am getting really excited for our annual family trip to Galena coming up next week. We are going for an extra day this year so the ladies can get a "girls day" outing...We signed up for a sign making class together and I think it's going to be a lot of fun.
My favorite cousin isn't going to be there this year so I am a little bummed about that, but it will still be a really good time and lots of my other family members will be there so we will have fun! I am pretty excited to try out the zip line this year!
I've been trying to put aside a little money here and there so we can do some fun activities while we are there...then our lawnmower died...it was $90 to fix the old one of $120 for a brand new one so we just bought a new one.
Joe decided he would just cancel going golfing in galena and hang back with us at the pool instead so that makes up for the lawnmower...but I feel bad about it. He doesn't even really like to golf but a bunch of the guys go every year so I know he likes to go just for fun. oh well. being a responsible adult is not the most fun.
QOTD: my first instinct was to ask about aliens...not like a government conspiracy to cover them up, but more just knowing whether there is life out there, or probably more accurately, where there is life out there and what it's like...I mean the possibilities are really infinite and nobody really knows for sure, so there's no way to find out but it fascinates me!

L: Chicken summer salad (Chicken, grapes, apples, craisins, walnuts, celery & light mayo/lemon juice)
S: L&F greek yogurt
D: Omelette w/Turkey sausage, pepperjack & hot giardinera
ES: probably some kind of meat/cheese roll or hummus & baby carrots

Have you ever reached a point where you are complacent? I've lost a significant amount of weight but I still have 30 lbs to go to get to my goal. So I've kind of reached a point where I don't want to be so obsessive about all of this. I know that isn't a good place to be. I know in order to reach my goal I need to avoid the complacency. That being said how do you keep yourself motivated? How do you vary your meals to get in the protein you need. I'm lactose intolerant and only eat fish and shrimp so I've exhausted my supply of recipes that I make, and am bored to tears with just fish and a non-starchy vegetable. I'm sorry if I sound like I'm whining, I'm just trying to move forward and start losing again. And I really don't want to just give up and stay where I am. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I know I need to consistently log my food, which I have been neglecting lately. Get my water in and get get back to working out more frequently.
I'm searching for my motivation, I know it's here somewhere.
Have a great day everyone!

I am still a foodie at heart but accept that most days my food will be routine and similar and I also remind myself that I ate the same thing most days when I was MO with no problem!
