Good morning! Sorry to hear about your ankle JB - take care! After all I have been through with my back and hips I have been taking it too easy on cardio for fear of injury really. Today I am swimming laps. I've missed swimming - it's been far too long. I found a new suit that I feel great in, so in the water I go!

not much in the works today. This is the last time we watch the kids before school starts on the 13th. YAY! I love em but man are they a handful!
My stomach is in a tizzy this morning. Accountability for yesterday was pretty bad. Had part of a sugar cookie. I'm having a hard time with my father's estate stuff. Just headache after headache. I've been eating my emotions again. Sooo i'm Trying to do mostly liquid to full liquid for a few days.

Sorry to hear about the injury to your ankle.
If you have not got it yet - most general stores carry neoprene ankle braces. Something that really helped me to stabilize my ankle, on top of using elastic bandage. Later on - I used a sport tape, to help the joint.
I highly recommend a good acupuncture person, mine saved my ankle from doctors and once it healed - there was no scar tissue or long lasting effect. Soaking the feet in cool water with Epsom salt may help also.
If I used ho****er to soak -, after that I would do ice pack for at least 20 min. Just ho****er soak may feel great, but if I did not use ice, a few hours later the inflammation that set it, (ho****er would bring blood in the area, but swelling may prevent it to drain causing what is known as "blood stagnation" due to reduced circulation)
Of course arnica gel helped me a lot also.
My experience with ankle injury - the I damaged the joint, not muscles - took a while to heal. Stanilizing the joint was really critical not to re-injure it again.
