What's on your Monday Menu, RNYers?

Hello My Monday Friends! How was everyone's weekend? Mine was very nice. Lots of time with friends, which is always great :) I really enjoyed the polo match, and I had fun yesterday, shopping then at the beach.
Today the hot muggy weather is back, so I think I might take a day of solitude and go to the ocean by myself for a beach day to stay cool. I also need to spend some time doing some Keto prep. It's funny how quickly things slipped for me at the end of last week when I was less prepared. I will definitely do some cooking and plan out my menus for the week today, too.
Accountability: I ate well, but I was really busy and I never made it to the gym. I am in a stall, too, and it is frustrating... I'm stuck on the exact same weight for 5 days now. I am going to hit the gym hard this morning!
QOTD: What is your favorite smell? Bread for me! I used to live in the city at the top of a hill, and at the bottom of my street was a bakery. It was heaven to wake up and smell freshly made bread wafting through the windows.
Exercise: 5K run - 20 minutes stair climber - 1 hour bike
Edited to add: OMG, just saw the news about the shooting at the Gilroy garlic festival that we were just talking about! How terrible! I hope our CA friends and your families are all safe. When will this end...??

Good morning, everybody!
I had a nice quiet weekend. We are going on vacation next week to visit family in Massachusetts, so this was a good weekend to catch up on things and get ready to go away. Also, Marilyn had quite a lot of tennis going on because it is the end of the summer season.
Its friends and family weekend at our gym, so I'm sure my children will be studiously avoiding eye contact with me all week. After which point they will claim that they would have gone had they known about it.
Edited because I forgot that yesterday was the last day of Flourouracil cream. Yay! My forehead has a few bumps on it but nothing like the chemical burns of the last two times I had to do it.
QOTD: One of my favorite smells is the pine needles from the Christmas tree. We still get a natural tree and that piney scent is a large part of the reason. When we lived in Massachusetts, I loved to hike in the White Mountains of New Hampshire and there were some trails where when you got to a certain height, the trail had the same same scent as Christmas trees. So beautiful combined with the views of surrounding forest.

We will be staying at my in-laws in Newbury, visiting my Mom in Woburn and sisters in Chelmsford and going to Queen at Great Woods Sunday. I grew up in Lexington and Marilyn grew up near Amherst. We met at UMASS.

Ha, I swear about 99% of my HS picked up and went to UMASS Amherst and at least 50% of them found their spouses there. I think its so funny--I don't have any other friends who went to any other colleges who married their college sweethearts, except for from that school. What was going on there??
I hope you have a blast while you are here!

Good morning menu friends! No walk for Miss Lily and I as it is raining and thundering and she is cowering in the bathroom--her safe place in storms. I did give her some children's melatonin so that helped some. Accountability was spot on yesterday food and stepwise and weight is 122.2. Lily and I should be able to get a good walk in this evening at some point . QOTD thanks to my sweet tooth--cinnamon rolls baking followed by any other baking sweets. Here's the food plan for the day B 2/3 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 4 oz chicken salad D stuffed pepper S meat stick if needed. Have a great day full of smart and healthy choices everyone!

I have torn really bad bread (like Wonderbread) into pieces and placed it into a loaf pan (usually the disposable, aluminum kind). Then I add some milk, some sugar, a heavy sprinkling of ground cinnanon, and some vanilla extract, and pop the whole thing into the oven set to low heat, just for the olfactory pleasure it soon provides! You can keep baking this concoction over and over for days, and it keeps on smelling wonderful, though after several days it gets to having a slightly burnt-cookie quality. This was originally a tip from a realtor for a quick easy way to make your house smell delicious, and it really does work! Thankfully it never made me want to eat it, just to inhale it!
hi all
Saturday was a dismal house hunting experience- we left mad and cranky. I did eat 1/2 scoop of ice cream with whipped cream on top. it was from a local place called clumpies and I got the whisky cornflake ice cream. it sounds gross but it was good. yesterday I decided I'm really not a fan of ice cream anymore. not because I was ill or whatever but I'm not sure it tasted good to me? not sure what that is about. sunday I food prepped and worked out at gym weights and cardio so a loooong session and went to pick up the groceries at the store. that was about it.
BUS/motorcoach update: DH pulled the fridge last night (it wasn't working) and there was wood rot under it and to the side of it. so now, he has to replace some of all of that. We did order an air filter on Saturday so that is good, we are getting so close to being able to get it up to Chattanooga so I don't have to make this drive 3 days a week. I;m thinking we are 2 weeks out from getting on the road with it. FYI if I haven't mentioned it before- its a 1980 Bluebird Wanderlodge FC33 if you want to google it :)
QOTD: waffle cone smells, bread smells, cinnamon rolls smells, funnel cake smells, cake smells, banana bread smells, of fine ALL BREAD smells... sensing a theme here...
food for today:
coffee
water
more coffee
egg/chicken/veg frittata (x3)
salad with either meatballs or sliced turkey
more coffee
water
exercise: walk during lunchtime and gym trial this week after work. today they have pool pilates at 4:45 so I'm going to try to get my arse over there then after i'm done, drive home.

Holy cow, that is a really big bus! I was picturing something so much tinier.
Also, whisky cornflake ice cream sounds amazing! ....I can almost feel my insides dying as I type it, but yum.....
