Are the gyro slices from TJs any good? I had them in my hand but decided to put them back.

Good morning everyone. I had a beautiful walk along the river this morning with my husband. Best way to start our day!! The kids came home last night and stayed the night. Always a good time with lots of laughs. They brought pizza and we had a fire with smores. I ate NONE of it!! I didn't even feel sad! I keep telling myself that success is the best motivation. I so want plastics this winter!!
Picture from this mornings walk, so peaceful!
Today is "date" day for hubby and I. We have been really been working on us. It is definitely a new season for us. Everything used to be centered around kids and schedules. I am enjoying having my husband all to myself again.
Food for today-
Lots of black coffee
Egg bites from Costco
Albacore tuna with onion and skinny girl poppyseed dressing
Chimichurri sauteed shrimp and zucchini ( didn't eat this last night)
chomps or jerky if needed
Lots of water and vitamins always.
QOTD- Current favorite, 15-month-old vintage white cheddar from Costco. Soo, good. I have to limit myself to 1 ounce a day. It is such a treat. I am pretty sure I became morbidly obese by cheese!! Its a slippery slope for me, so I don't always have it in the house.

Good morning, everybody!
JB - are you going up to Myopia for the Polo matches? I think that they may play in Newport as well. Don't forget to stomp the divots between chukkas.
I was finally able to round up at least one son and got to watch The Last Waltz Friday. We loved it: The Band, Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Eric Clapton, Neil Young, Muddy Waters, Joni Mitchell, Dr. John, and many others. Just a great movie.
QOTD: I tend to like the softer cheeses the absolute best, like Brie or some the soft blues. But I can't really say that there is a cheese I don't like. As a child we ate the individually wrapped cheese like substances that are sold in the Dairy case rather than the Deli. When I first tasted Land O'Lakes white American in high school I thought I was in heaven
Not a good breakfast today. Hopefully the 597-movement workout this morning offsets it.
Breakfast: Leftover potato skins
Snack: Protein bar
Lunch: ribs
Snack: Meat Stix
Dinner: TBD
Have a great day, all!

Nope, the one we go to is the Newport International Polo Club right outside of Newport. I've only seen them play international teams there (Sweden, Switzerland and Italy, I think), but today's match is actually against Palm Beach.
I haven't had those Kraft singles in a million years. I wonder if they would taste any good now. I loved them as a kid.

Good Saturday everyone.
Been a busy day so far. Now we need to run to the grocery store and then I get to clean house. I am exhausted already! Gotta keep going though. I have to make a chess pie for my mom.
I've found myself struggling big time. My last visit with the counselor drudged up a lot of unpleasant stuff. I'm journaling and such but my homework is to make a timeline of events involving my father. I've always felt like I wasn't good enough for anyone since he didn't want me...that something was wrong with me. I know now as an adult it was on him but fixing childhood trauma isn't always that easy. I either try to hard to be friends or come off as *****y due to being so quite. It's hard for me to make new friends in person AND online. I'm always afraid to scare people off LOL
either way i'm a work in progress, as we all are. I'm not giving in or up.
qotd: ok....I love cheese! Alllllll the cheeses! If I had to pick favorites...hmm Gorgonzola, extra sharp cheddar, pepper jack, well you name the cheese and i'll Like it. I tend to not care so much for goat cheese BUT my experience is very limited with it so i'd try it more in the future. Oh I do adore feta too though!
