Morning all! Looks like we are in for three lovely summer days here in MD. Upper 80s low 90s but low humidity and lots of sunshine. I hope to enjoy as much of it as possible.
Yesterday I gave myself a real treat. I took the afternoon off and went to a local park and sat in a field for 2 hours in the sunshine and watched the butterflies and dragonflies and just breathed. Life keeps getting so busy and stressful and I really needed some down time.
Today I'm working from home and have a gym session with my trainer over lunch. Other than that no real running around. Probably some Netflix tonight with some Whole foods take out.
Tomorrow we'll run errands in the morning and then meet a coworker to offload some of my quilt fabric and books. Then probably a visit to my house bound friend who is recovering from hip replacement surgery.
Sunday will be an early session with my therapist and then driving to PA to celebrate my step-father's 80th birthday. Not looking forward to it but I'll try to go. Maybe a swim or hike in the afternoon if I can manage it.

Janet,
Your afternoon yesterday sounds wonderful! I am glad you're taking time for you!!
Mornin' All!
well I said I wouldn't be spending all day with my MIL again yesterday. I lied. I did go to that strength-training class in the morning, which I'm glad to say that I didn't hate (meaning I'll probably go back to it), but then I headed over to her apt, planning to just stay for an hour or so. Nope. We ran all the essential errands yesterday - credit union (to open accounts), social security office, the cable place to get her going on cable/phone/internet, etc. Because of long waits at a couple of them, it took all afternoon. We'll hold off on some others like the DMV until next week. All of us got tired of waiting around at some of the offices, and the DMV is notorious for that.
today I'm meeting a friend at a new yoga class (new to us, anyway), then I'm going over to my bariatric clinic to do my monthly gig for a pre-op class. My surgeon asked me when I saw him for my annual follow-up a couple of weeks ago if I'd be interesting in doing a presentation for PCP's in the fall - so I said yes to that as well. The more I can stay involved, the more I'm keeping my head in the game - and the more motivated I am to maintain my weight loss. Plus I like doing these kinds of things, too. Anyway, this afternoon I'll be back at MIL's, setting up her internet, TV, and phone. Might go to a neighborhood picnic/concert tonight if I have the energy.
accountability has been fabulous this week - mostly because I've been too busy to think about food.
QOTD: that's easy. Wisconsin is famous for bratwurst, beer, and cheese (really any kind dairy - but esp cheese). Also, Friday night fish fries. They're everywhere - even some of the "ethnic" restaurants have them.
4 years 1 month out:
B: protein pancakes topped with 1/3 C plain Greek yogurt and either one of my fruit compotes (no added sugar) or a diced peach with SF syrup, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: I'll be over at MIL's - so probably just a protein bar
AS: nuttin', most likely. Still at MIL's
D: if I'm home, then pulled pork and some kind of vegetable
ex: yoga
this is a picture of me with my wonderful plastic surgeon, Lawrence Zachary. I look bigger than him in this photo - but I think it's because I was kind of standing in front of him (i.e., closer to the camera). I love this guy -- he's a great surgeon and a real hoot, too!

You're being hard on yourself, I don't see that you look bigger than him at all; you look great.
