Oh the wedding sounds like so much fun, the whole Duff Man Crew together, that's a party!!

HHoF is about a 10-15 min walk from my work. Meeting up for dinner would be a blast.

You said one of your sons loves soccer, you should try and catch a Toronto FC game while you are here!

May I speak truthfully about the weight gain, and I am speaking to you & anyone who is reading this post right now, until a person is truly ready to deal with the weight gain and that can be post surgery regain or someone who is contemplating having surgery you have to be 100% all in, mind body and soul. This is such hard **** and its so much easier to just live life, eat some off plan foods because they taste good and feed our souls/emotions but until a person is really ready to put in the work and get strict again with the rules (oh the bloody rules! lol lol lol) then the weight won't come off. And this is strictly my OPINION and speaking from personal experience. I had cancelled my WLS orientation class twice because I was not ready, but when I was it all came together and here I am almost 6 years later, still at goal. You can do this, I know you can and you got this bud.

Have a great day.

I can't agree more with that.

We all have some foods or habit that w like more than we want to lose the extra weight we carry. Unless we are ready, the weight is staying with us.

For me - a one time it was occasional drink on weekends. During the week I was mostly ok, but on weekends we often socialized and since most people had a beer or a drink or 2 - so did I. I liked the taste, and I liked that my body could digest the food I was eating much better when I had a drink. Plus...I was able to eat more, and on a surface, my body was tolerating more foods than if I did not have an alcoholic drink. 3-4 drinks very the weekend, together with the extra food I could eat, digest and absorb, was just enough for my body to retain the extra 8-10 lbs I wanted to get rid off.

When finally I realized that the alcohol was doing more damage to my intestines lining than I wanted to admit, and after I gave up alcohol completely, I lost the extra weight not even trying to do so very hard.

It's about awareness and choices.

Poutine! Yet another reason why it won't take much to twist my arm to move to Canada... Ugh, if I was allergic to potatoes, I might not have needed surgery!

Granted Poutine is so Canadian that Sid Crosby and friends have got more than a few Pittsburgh restaurants to add it to there menus . I have visited family and friends in Canada and to be honest the one thing we can not get here in the US and I love love love is the Peameal Bacon. Not Canadian bacon it has too much salt and smoke that distracts from the true Peameal bacon available up there. Kinda makes me want to drive up this fall and see the falls while I am there. BTW I have been on the Maid of the Mist so many times in my lifetime I have frequent flyer miles. Any time we go over the peace bridge I make the stop to take the ride before continuing into Hamilton Toronto London just depending where we are gong to visit on the trip.

Our state of Illinois is more known for crooked politicians and sky high taxes than for any food but there is Chicago style deep dish pizza. Lily and I have our first long walk in already and will do 2 more at some point today. No pics today just too tired to mess with it. I am exhausted from trying to keep 34 people working and occupied and so ready for a relaxing weekend. Goal for today is 100 ounces of liquids as I've not been doing well there. Accountability was perfect yesterday both food and stepwise and weight is 122.2. Here's the food plan B2/3c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 4 oz deli chicken and cheese D 4 oz cowboy chicken burger no bun S sm apple with 1 T peanut butter. Have a wonderful day full of healthy choices everyone!
