My trip to Canada was great! I drove the 7 hour trip up and back by myself, something I needed to do for myself mentally!!! Take that Lyme disease!!
Came home and got terrible news about a Canadian neighbor and a dear friends husband, here at home. My time has been spent on the phone comforting my parents and my friend.

Julia - I've said this before but I'll repeat, your cats are like models! They should be in commercials.
I am so excited for a frame that is FINALLY getting here. A dear friend do DH who is a great photographer finally took a picture of a field of sunflowers. For me sunflowers are home because where I grew up there was a field of sunflowers right in front of the house. So when we redid the kitchen for me it was all about bright yellows and sunflowers. The frame is one of those metal ones that you actually don't need to frame it, don't know the exact terminology. I know it's silly to be excited for just a pic that goes on the wall but I look for bits of home wherever and whenever I can. I am attaching the pic that is coming and my back wall behind the stove to give you guys an idea. The back wall was also custom made to represent the "Italian sun".
QOTD: central coast CA - we are the capital of artichokes, strawberry, and garlic. Have you ever had garli****cream? I don't recommend it but there is a garlic festival here very year and one of the "delicacies" is garli****cream. We also have the artichoke festival and of course the strawberry festival. I have seen pics of our strawberries sold all the way in Alaska. Ooooh, and the Martinelli apple cider bottles? Those are from here too.
My meals for the day:
- Coffee, coffee, and more coffee
- Turkey meatloaf left over
- Pineapple chicken meatballs
- Yogurt or parm cheese
