JB are you guys going to Queen at Great Woods next week?

Grim only has one negative quality about him. Really just one! ...But sadly, it is that he hates Queen. Can you imagine?

For my part, I hate the Great Woods venue! It's really close by--just a few exits up on the highway and it's bananas trying to get in and out (or past it) on concert nights. I would rather go anywhere else.

I just don't get it. Queen is probably the single greatest band in the history of EVERYTHING. I saw them live last week, and even without Freddie they were still mind-blowingly good.

I Queen, but I had my reservations regarding Adam Lambert. Nothing against him but he is no Freddie. So would you say they are still good even with Adam?

I think he was the perfect choice to fill in. He's absolutely got the voice for it, and he definitely had the attitude. But I think he tried to do things his own way, and not just try to copy, and it worked out really well.

At the start of the concert he basically said, "I'm not Freddie, nobody could ever replace him. I'm not trying to be him, but I want to honor him in my own way."

Brian and Rodger were still absolutely amazing, and they all put on a fantastic show.

Aaaw, it makes me teary just reading what he said. Good for him.

Julie - Did you see them in Phoenix?

Yup! I'm on the north end of Tucson so it's only an hour and a half from my house. Drove up there with my parents and we all saw them together :)
