What's on your Thursday Menu, RNYers?

Hi Everyone!
Hmm, yesterday was really boring. The shine of having nothing to do all day might be wearing off--I should have been more productive but I really just sat in the hammock and read a book for hours. Not that I am complaining, but I need to make more lists and figure out what I am doing with the next two weeks!
Today will be busy, though! I am going to bring my car into the dealer for some maintenance, then go do some work on my old condo. Later in the evening I am meeting up with my favorite old professor who has remained an amazing mentor and friend to me. I love her to pieces, and I am excited to have enough time to spend with her :)
Accountability: Great. We decided to have dinner out at the last minute, but I made a good choice, and I hit the gym on schedule.
QOTD: What is your favorite app for your phone or tablet? A few of my favs are: Audible, NY Times Crosswords, Flipboard, and Fooducate. I also recently became addicted to this stupid game called Woody, that is like a (harder, IMO) version of Tetris.
This is an incomplete menu, because I will be out of the house all day and then having dinner with my friend. I'm bringing a big old protein shake with me to hopefully carry me through until dinner.
Exercise: Rest Day!
- High Weight before LapBand: 200 (2008)
- High Weight before RNY: 160 (2015)
- Lowest post-op weight: 110 (2016)
- Maintenance Weight: 120 (2017-2019)
- Battling Regain Weight: 135 (current)
Mornin'!
I think I'll let DH deal with his mother today solo - I have some things I need to finish up, and he's going back to work next week, meaning I'll be the sole entertainment committee then. So...a day to myself. I'm planning on going to either a Zumba or strength-training class this morning, and finishing up some things for my civic organization this afternoon.
accountability was good yesterday.
4 years 1 month out:
B: protein pancakes with 1/3 C plain Greek yogurt, diced peach, and SF syrup, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: pulled pork
AS: light yogurt or peanut butter/protein powder ball
D: maybe pulled pork again. Grilled zucchini or Mexican corn on the cob
have a great day!!

What's Mexican corn on the cob?
- High Weight before LapBand: 200 (2008)
- High Weight before RNY: 160 (2015)
- Lowest post-op weight: 110 (2016)
- Maintenance Weight: 120 (2017-2019)
- Battling Regain Weight: 135 (current)
there's the real way of making it - and my way (the lower calorie way). I think in Mexico it's called elote (??). You grill the corn, then slather it with mayo or sour cream, then roll it in cojita cheese, and then sprinkle it with chili lime powder. When I make it, though, I grill the corn, then put about 2 t of light mayo on it, then sprinkle it with chili lime powder (i.e., a lighter version of mayo and no cheese). It's actually great either way...
Good morning JB and menu friends! Miss Lily and I got up even earlier because I have to wake hubby earlier than usual and wanted to get our walk in first. We'll do 2 more walks today as well. Accountability was perfect yesterday both food and stepwise and weight is 122.4 today. Here's the food plan B2/3c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 4 oz leftover chicken from dinner with grilled mushrooms and onions D seafood stuffed mushroom S if needed sm apple with 1 T peanut butter. Have a great day full of healthy choices everyone! Pics from walk last night.
hi all
QOTD: postmark, mercari, email, amazon, starbucks, gas station apps where I get my perks and coffee, libby (audiobook/library rentals), candy crush, Instagram- I'm off audible due to the cost and limitations. I did like texture for a while and scribd.
last night I went to test out this new gym at a hospital about 4 miles from work, had an indoor pool with classes, indoor and outdoor track, group training room, all the free weights, and all new cardio. and the price is amazing I think when you consider most places with a pool are $$$$
food plan for today:
coffee
water
more more coffee
leftover meatloaf if hubs doesn't take it
not really sure what else.
leaving after work for the gym for cardio today and some weights
I would love to belong to a gym with a pool but you are so right on about the cost. I'll just stick to planet fitness for $20 a month you can't beat it and if i really want to swim the local high school and Jr high have open swim night for a couple bucks.

Good morning JB, It has to feel good to have some down time though? I know that Grim is a Ribeye lover, but, do you guys eat alot of seafood? I would love to live in your area, I would eat seafood 24/7!!!! We had a quiet night as well, Joddie and I have been closing the screen on the gazebo at night, I have an extra TV from the Kids college time and set it up on the new fireplace mantle and we watch our shows for an hour or two outdoors instead of in the living room, so relaxing with the candles going, I swear we have used the deck more on the last week than the last twenty years! LOL
Accountability - Spot on!!! I have had a good couple of weeks where I have not been craving anything.
B - Egg Salad
S - Ham roll up & cookie dough fat bomb- made with almond flour and lillies dark chips
L - chicken salad
S- cukes and dip
D - Left overs - beef burgundy or meatballs and fresh zoodles ( Zucchini from my garden)
E - not sure if I will go to the gym or run tonight. I travel 1 hour round trip on gym nights and am going to cut back due to time and miles on my leased vehicle.
Stay healthy my friends, Mike
