I go through mountains of salt. When my BP got crazy low and I was passing out, I was told not to worry about it.

Really, anyone can gain a couple of pounds from sodium. But only a little. If someone is blaming ten or more pounds of regain on salt, it ain't.

Sodium MUST be a thing, because Catwoman's posts about it here on OH fill 6 pages of Google results.

I am not saying I or anyone else can gain 10 or more lbs from salt (although that may not be the implication here - I'm not really sure, to be honest. Maybe I just wasn't very clear - or I'm reading too much into the responses). I just know that if I eat something high in sodium (e.g., sushi, Chinese food, deli meats), I'm pretty much guaranteed to be waterlogged the next morning. Swollen eyes - swollen fingers (as in I sometimes can't get my rings off and on). I just really push the fluids and it's usually gone by the end of the day - or the next morning at the latest.

You might want to share your edema issues with your doctor.

Congratulations on the surgiversery you must be so proud JB

QOTD: I wasn?t scared till the surgeon called And delayed my surgery for 2 hours because he was going to a Steelers Playoff game and I do believe he may have been a little hung over. That surgery went awry and I could not get anything through the Sleeve. I threw up every 4 hours for 7 days till his partner came in and revised it to an RNY. I'm not sure it was the surgeons fault I think I had a bad reaction to the pain meds. It happened before when I had a colonectomy due to diverticulitis.

I don?t have a set menu for today the weekends are tuff because I never know where I?ll be.

heading to some estate sales now and I have coffee and water in hand. Everyone stay cool and as always Brightest Blessings

I had a lawyer friend go through the medical records for free and he didn't see anything that was out of the ordinary. When they brought me back to the room I felt fine but as soon as I got the shot of Dilaudid that is when I got sick I believe I have a sensitivity to it. Like I said it's happened before.

Happy surgeriversaey!!! You look amazing!!!! Please do not melt in the heat!

I am so glad you are back after your tough school year and taking care of yourself over the summer. You were one of the first people to welcome me when I started here about 2 weeks before my surgery and you have always been so supportive and candid when I needed a kick in the pants.

qotd - I wasn't nervous about the surgery, I put everything in order to prepare for the worst and was comfortable with my choice. I do get very very sick from anesthesia so I was more scared about that throwing up and "please just chop my head off" headache that usually follows. Fortunately for me they listened when I told them and whatever they did to keep me oblivious worked. My sis said I was under in recovery longer than expected but no headache and no throwing up for the win! I was terrified about that!

accountability - physically I hit a wall yesterday, after I finished work I was just exhausted. I did not work out, I brought back a couple of individually wrapped alfajores with dulce de ledge for my mom. I ate one. I spent a couple hours on the floor curled in a ball. I went to bed when I uncurled...I did sleep until after 6 so i really was best. Will be taking the rest of the individually wrapped cookies to my mom today!

i didn't get my workout in yesterday either so I have to double up on one this weeks to make sure I get 31 in 31 days! I want my next tattoo.
