G'morning Em & Menu family,

GUYS! Remember I talked about sharks on Mon? We went SUPing and somebody saw a shark nearby? Well, that specific beach where we launched from is in the news. If you just read the article it says Seacliff area, but if you watch the video it says New Brighton beach, and that's where we got in the water. They call it the SHARK PARK! I told DH if he wanted to get rid of me there are much easier ways. Anyway, if you have a sec watch this news clip.

QOTD: I'm two years out, so I still consider myself a newbie. But I see myself having cravings that I didn't have when I was fresh off surgery. I want sweets, which give me dumping but I still want them. While the first year when I was in total losing mode I wouldn't even think about them. Once again the motto that they operate on our stomach and not our brain is true in my case. Maybe because I'm still new I can rein it in, I might splurge (food wise) one day but then I walk the straight and narrow for the rest of the week. But I also understand I'm still benefiting from malabsorption which won't be the case 2-3 years down the rd. It's an every day battle and it sure isn't easy.

My meals for the day:

  • Coffee, coffee, and more coffee
  • Chicken skewers
  • In-n-out protein style (on the rd down south)
  • Yogurt or parm cheese

Have a great Thu, everyone.

I'm with you! I think I've said this before, if a dr tells me I have an incurable disease I fill up the tub with Nutella and just eat myself into a coma. It would be the sweetest death and I die happy.

HAppy shark has friends. That's why it's happy!!

I spend a lot of time being happy that I dumped and I never want to do it again...and I thank HALA for one of her words of wisdom about not trying to find where the threshold between not dumping and dumping is because it's the slippery slope. That tidbit and the "hunger is not an emergency" get a lot of play on my head hunger days!

I totally subscribe to "hunger is not an emergency"! The Obesity Code talks about it and I'm a true believer. When my stomach grumbles I just tell it to shut up, it's not time yet. ;)

Good afternoon everybody! So happy to see Em and Daisy!!

Late post for me. I had a breakfast meeting in the city this morning, so had to be up real early and out the door. Traffic was brutal both ways. Accident in the morning and downpours in the afternoon.

Then I spent two hours at Nordstrom shopping for work clothes. It was exhausting. I did go down another suit size since spring which was good. My shopper says that my body is changing and kept asking if I'm working out. I like her but didn't want to get into a WLS discussion.

Hero workout week continues with Collin. Thirty eight minutes and 10 seconds. I used 20 pound sandbag, 85 pound push press, 20 inch box and 65 pounds for the Sumo Deadlift High Pull. Running the 6 rounds of 400 meters with the sandbags was tough in this humid weather. Fair winds and following seas, Chief Thomas.

QOTD: My hunger free days did not last very long. Overall, I can't complain though, I have a pretty good metabolism and my gout has cleared up so I can really work out.

Breakfast: Eggs and bacon

Snack: Chia pudding

Lunch: Protein bar

Snack: popcorn

Dinner: Sausage

Have a great day, all!

Hi everyone,

Accountability: On plan.

QOTD: Losing weight. No matter how rigid my nutrition is, losing weight seems almost impossible. The one positive thing is that I still have a great deal of restriction and I cannot eat a lot.

L: 3oz BH low sodium turkey breast

S: 3oz BH low sodium turkey breast

D: 4 1/2 oz grilled steak chili, 1/2C broccoli rabe

S: ostrim meat stick

Cals:705, Carbs:8, Protein:113

Enjoy the rest of your evening everybody!
