What's on your Monday Menu, RNYers?
I'm like you. I've been doing IF but my coffee needs its sf syrup or SF creamer.

If it's just plain coffee I do either half and half or SF syrup never just black but with the flavored coffee I can do it black - the decaf death by chocolate from amazon (I use the k cups) are delish just as they are; also like the bananas foster ones.

Amy, I thought about this conversation yesterday when I was trying coffees here in Costa Rica! Check out the Britt cafe shop and their fusion coffee. I kept going back to get samples of it, no sweetener, no creamer, it was so smooth and easy to drink - almost as smooth as cold brew. It might be worth ordering to give it a try.

QOTD: I am not that far out from surgery. However, I've had a few NSV even being only 30 lbs. down or so. I've always been able to tie my shoes in some way, but a few days ago during my walk, I was able to tie my shoe just by bending over while standing on the sidewalk!
Also, I've had back pain while standing - such as doing dishes - for years. Well, that's gone and I can do dishes or cook without any back pain. :)
I've been having a struggle to resist coffee. I tried a sip of it a few weeks ago and it gave me horrible heartburn. The last few days I've been sooo tempted because it smells so good when my partner has it and honestly it's been a lifetime habit up until this surgery. I keep telling myself that I've decided not to start up that addiction again, but I've really been struggling.

It took me 8 months to get back on the coffee after surgery. unfortunately I have to use Stevia and SF Flavor Creamers. But I do 70 oz of water every day too as not to dehydrate.

If GERD is the problem from coffee, you probably just have to suck it up and stay away while things continue to heal. But if you are just staying away because your program told you to... I say screw it! I had decaf in the hospital and moved onto the real stuff within a few weeks. It won't dehydrate you if you continue to have your other liquids!

I only had to give up coffee for one week...and that first cup after was pretty much the best thing ever. According to my team members, the only time they get scared is when I talk about giving up coffee, so I'm on it for the duration, lol

Today is my celebration day for the whole month! I won't be tracking at all today.
I did see someone talking about Costco egg-bites and I'm going to get them tomorrow after work! Can't wait to add them to my food list. I start back on low-carb tomorrow and I'm going pretty low for the first 5 days. It's going to be hard but I need to get my regain back off before it unpacks.
NSV: I got locked out of the house about a week ago and I climbed the back fence! I was so happy! It has been a huge fear of mine getting locked out because it also means my phone is with my keys as they are attached, so basically I'd be screwed. I'm also looking forward to my first ever flight as a "normal" person in October!

Liz, the eggbite has only 2 carbs and 20 gr of protein. It's delicious!!! I was very satisfied with two (they come two to a package) for lunch.
