What's on your Monday Menu, RNYers?
Mornin' All!
Sign me up for the Keto-ish program, too! (not straight Keto - but adding more fat to my diet). It really is magical! I'm really going to try to focus more on dense protein, too. And exercise. It really should not take much to drop the 2-6 lbs that I'd like to lose! (to get below 150 again, that is)
I'm so happy to hear about your new job, JB! Is it another principal position? Enjoy your month off! I know what you mean about loving every minute of your time off - I've been retired for a little over a year now, and I STILL love every minute of it!
I have my four-year follow-up at the bariatric clinic today (a little overdue). I hate that I'm up 3 lbs from last year, but I'm feeling waterlogged and gassy, so it's temporary - but of course it'll probably still be there this afternoon when I get weighed. Although I doubt he's going to care about 3 lbs. I do, though. Not much else on the agenda other than finding one or two more sofa pillows for the porch. I love all the bright colors!! I still need a lime green and a red one.
QOTD: I don't notice NSV's very often anymore - but the other day I sprinted up a couple of flights of stairs and it crossed my mind that I never could have done that four years ago. I would have slowly ascended the first flight and felt like I was having a heart attack once I reached the top. Two flights? Never. I would have searched for the elevator.
4 years 1 month out:
B: protein pancakes with 1/3 C plain Greek yogurt, diced peach, and SF cinnamon syrup, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: I may just have a protein bar - I'm afraid of eating anything that will make my weight go up more before than appt! (although maybe my leftover marinated chicken strips on zoodles will be OK - there's not much left of it - and not much sodium in it, either)
AS: L&F yogurt
D: finally, I can have something with sodium. Maybe a Beyond Burger on a thin multigrain "bun" (looks more like a thin English muffin) with light mayo, lettuce, and tomato. I LOVE these things!!!
ex: I'm thinking yoga this morning plus a Body Pump class this evening
have a great day, all!

yea - I don't know why I'm worried about this. He's not going to say anything. Ten pounds maybe, but not three. Three pounds could be due to water retention - or constipation - or just normal fluctuation. He knows that. I'm already one of their star patients since I'm at a normal BMI level - many don't make it that far - esp those who started out as heavy as I did.

I had to admit to a 9lb gain and that was just from a year ago--I am up 15 from my lowest. But they were very kind and supportive. No shaming. Phew!

Good morning JB and menu folks. Happy Monday. The weekends go by so quick!!! I am getting closer to completing the propane fireplace mantle. I had purchased the insert a few years ago at a garage sale and Joddie decided it was time for me to dress it up for use on our deck/under the gazebo and will move it back in the garage to take the chill out in the winter. Pics below.

Good morning, everybody!
I am in a great mood today because it's Hero week! Every day will be a different Hero workout. Today was called Brenton. Not a bad one to start the week with, relatively short and mostly crawling, hopping and Burpees. I got it done in 15:39 without a vest.
I was running early until I got home. First, it was That's it for the Other One from Los Angeles 1967 on the radio and Phil Lesh was just shredding his bass lines. Then I wrote an overly long reply to Beth. Oh, well it looks like I am driving today.
QOTD: "Angie" workout (100 pull-ups, 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats). About 48 minutes, which is not a fast time at all.
Breakfast: Turkey meatballs and cottage cheese
Snack: Protein bar
Lunch: Chicken
Snack: Jerky (need to re-order)
Dinner: TBD
