Good Morning JB and Menuers,
This weekend was fabulous! Saturday we went to a pool party/picnic and then Sunday we had friends over for a little pool party and cookout.
Since I turned 50 every doctor I have seen has asked me when I am having a colonoscopy. Tomorrow is the day. The whole thing grosses me out because I firmly believe nothing should go in there - only out.
Anyway, I can't eat today only drink so I have no menu planned. After this procedure is over I am going to start a low carb/keto'ish' way of eating so that I can lose these last ten pounds.
QOTD: I think hanging out in a bathing suit in front of people for two pool parties is a NSV. I have skin issues but no one mentioned it and I felt pretty confident.
Have a great day and stay hydrated my friends!
You can't measure your achievements with someone else's yardstick!

The year is 2016. I turn 50 in April. Resolving to finally do at least something to be healthy, I determine that I am going to follow the doctor's orders and get that 50 year old colonoscopy. The summer and early fall slide by and I don't schedule it. I am determined to do so before the holidays. But not for a few more weeks until I lose some weight. Of course I don't lose weight or schedule the appointment. Finally around Thanksgiving, I realize that if I don't schedule I am at risk of missing the goal I set.
Late November, I call and schedule. They say "we have tons of spots on Monday February 5th" . I reserve the 9:00 AM spot and hang up the phone triumphantly.
A few weeks go by and I'm watching TV. They start promoting the Super Bowl - Sunday February 4th. Those *******s.
Then my Patriots make the game. Super Bowl Sunday morning, I'm drinking diet ginger ale while my Boston friends are texting me to just give up on the procedure. All day nothing to eat. My sons get Wingstop. The entire house is filled with the smells of Buffalo wings and greasy fries. I pop another diet ginger ale.
Around 5:00 the game starts and so does the prep. At first neither is particularly effective. Patriots go down 28-3. The solution goes down slowly and rather unpleasantly. Both the Patriots and the solution rallied later in the evening. The Patriots are Super Bowl champions and I finally hit the bathroom just as Belichick is being interviewed post game.
At 3:00 AM I had to get up again for the second round of solution. Shivering, wrapped in a blanket and reading all of the postgame wrap-ups i gagged down about 3/4 of the second gallon of solution before throwing up.
The actual procedure, as Trish said, was anti-climactic. I had to cancel a business trip the next day. Although, I am sure there were plenty of other people driving around Southern Indiana with a little Fentanyl in their system, I didn't feel safe driving.

Have you ever read the tweets/blogs of exploding Unicorn? He is the dad to three little girls and writes about their misadventures.
You remind me of him but an older version. You should start a blog. I never thought CPAs could be so funny. All the ones I know are very dry and grumpy.
