What's on your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
Great job JB! I cant wait for season 3 either, I have already told myself that I will try to watch the episodes over a week or two rather than binge watching in one night...LOL

Good morning, everybody!
I left work yesterday, got in my car, pulled out of the garage, turned right and immediately ran into a detour sign. Too late to turn around, as I snaked through Randolph and South Michigan, I realized that once again it was time for the Taste of Chicago.
I hate, hate, hate the Taste of Chicago. I know that is shocking that I loathe a food event, considering that I am grotesquely obese. But everything about the "Taste" is a ****show. Vast hordes walking around in sweltering July heat eating crappy junk food. Road closures. Traffic. Lack of cutlery. Tank tops on men. Panhandlers. Bad music.
In what world is walking around on 100 degree pavement eating deep dish pizza without a plate considered dining?
Pleas note that if Amber's post today begins "OMG, I love the taste of Chicago..", I will give $50 to whoever deletes this for me. Skalescater - don't even try and con me, I know you hate the Taste too.
QOTD: At the wedding that I attended last week, I advised my somebody not to say something that they would later regret, even though it may have been true.
Breakfast: Sous Vide eggbites
Snack: Protein bar
Lunch: Chicken
Snack: Jerky
Dinner Lamb
Have a great day, all.

Ah...I don't know if you've looked in the mirror lately, but you are definitely NOT grotesquely obese! You looked pretty normal weight to me!
btw - I would hate Taste of Chicago, too. The traffic, that is - as I'd never actually go there - I don't like crowds - or heat. We have annual events up here in Wisco like the World Dairy Expo which I always dread because the traffic is horrendous. UGH!!! I hate it!!
hahahaha...yeah I avoid the city at all costs during the taste and Lollapalooza...I mean I loved Lolla when I was in my 20s...but it's only ok IF you're taking the train in and you have a good resistance to heat and humidity and are able to walk for several miles without fatigue...I agree eating hot food in 100 degree heat and 90% humidity is not really worth it...I can get pizza and beef sandwiches anywhere in the suburbs with a/c and no traffic.
Also I have to say it's funny you still call yourself grotesquely obese. Pretty sure you're experiencing some disassociation with your new body my friend lol.

Jim, seriously. You are far from grotesquely obese - in fact, you're looking quite lean and fit! What grotesquely obese guy could possibly perform 100 Burpees? Not one on the face of the earth!
Taste of Chicago (in sweltering humidity, no less) sounds like just the sort of event that I, too, would avoid at all costs!

Good Morning JB and Menuers,
Yesterday did not go as planned so I will try again today. I was going to plant another row of beets this morning but it is raining right now, so I am not sure that is going to happen. A lady for the county is coming around 11 to meet with DH about widening the road and it is partially on our property, I'm not getting into that. At 2 I have to drive DH to his MRI in town and then at 6, we have a dentist appointment. Choppy day but I am going to accomplish something!
Edit for QOTD: my surgeon Caitlin Halbert. I have recommended her to several people who have asked about my wls.
