TMI & Embarrassing Question
Hi:
I'm not sure how to ask ......but here it goes.....has anyone had problems with their bowels movements? I'm a few years post-op and I find that now I pass either mucous with a tiny bit of stool or just straight mucous (there's also been a bit of leakage).
This is TMI but I'm concerned.
TIA I appreciate any response.
Hi! My only issue has been combating constipation. I would say if this is something new for you that contact your surgeon team and maybe speak to a nurse. It may/may not be something directly related to your surgery so you could potentially even make an appt with your PCP to discuss potential causes.
I know that many of us do struggle with constipation, but really at several years post-op, if you have having problems, you should talk to your doctor. Hoping all goes well.

Question?
How much water do you drink?
Do you take a probiotic regularly?
Do you exercise?

I average 120 oz a day and never, EVER miss my morning probiotic. Exercise helps as well. I cycle/swim/run 5-6 days a week
