Whats on your Monday menu RNYers?
Hi All!
We had a great time camping. Max did really well camping although he is super protective and barked at everyone and every dog that walked by. We got home early yesterday and I was able to work out in the garden. It is amazing how much it changed in just the 5 days we were away. I probably worked out there for 4 hours! It's raining today and I have to take DH to two appointments for his workman's comp. I am also going to go through my clothes and get some ready to go to the consignment shop.

Quick post so that I can catch the 8:30 train. I went to a wedding in upstate NY for a friend I had grown up with outside of Boston. I didn't drink and felt like I did well avoiding off plan choices. Certain people wanted to discuss my weight loss in excruciating detail. Weight was only up .6 for the week, so I will take it.
QOTD: Out on a boat fishing or at the beach.
Breakfast: Bratwurst
Snack: Protein bar
Lunch: Chicken
Snack: Jerky
Dinner: TBD.
Have a great day, all.

Good morning! Let's all have an amazing start to our week. We are about 4 driving hours from the epicenter of the recent earthquakes. I didn't feel the one at all on the 4th but the stronger one on Friday night woke me up and Twinkie (my kitty) got in bed with me. I have a friend that lives in Ridgecrest and was evacuated Friday but luckily they were all safe.

Those earthquakes were scary. We didn't feel them where we are but just hearing about them is scary.
BTW, on the way down we passed through Bakersfield and I saw signs for Fresno. So just to embarrass DS I rolled down the window, and yelled HI KELLY!

QOTD: A great summer day for me would be traipsing around the woods somewhere. We live near a beach and I've been several times. It's pretty and all, but the beach doesn't draw me like a nature area does. I prefer a little cooler to a little hotter, because covering up is better in the woods.
Pre-surgery, the only milk I could do was cow's milk and coconut milk. My tummy wouldn't do any other non-milks like soy or almond milk. Post-surgery, my tummy won't deal with any milk, even coconut milk. I'm hoping that will change with time - I'm only 4 weeks out and just starting soft foods. The last month has been hard without any milk or 'milk' at all.

G'morning everybody!
Presently in the beautiful Santa Barbara. Perfect weather and gorgeous sunny. I had planned to drive down DS to his summer program at UCLA and just drive back up. DS was so cute yesterday when checking in and then getting settled into his dorm. He actually told me he is excited which is a lot for him. He usually doesn't show any emotions. I hope these two weeks get him more excited about going away to college.
A dear friend joined me last minute on our road trip so we are making a great girls day out of it. It was her suggestion to stop in Santa Barbara on our way back. We are staying in one of the oldest hotels in Santa Barbra. Such a cute place. We were supposed to leave this morning, but after checking some stores last night after they were closed we decided we need to spend the day here and leave late afternoon.
QOTD: beach and shopping, hence Santa Barbara is my place, especially with a girlfriend!
Accountability: the hotel offers Oreo cookies and milk in the lobby after 7:00 pm. Need I say more? I think I made several trips to the Oreo dish.
Menu for today is up in the air but I'll try to do better than just scarfing down Oreo cookies.
Have a great Mon, everyone.
