What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu, RNYers?
should be an easy day at work today.
yesterday ended up being a good day. This is the first low key Independence Day every in my whole life. However I was talked into going to the parade. I stopped to see a few friends along the parade route but got home before noon. I caught up on Big little Lies yesterday and got in 2 episodes of Stranger Things (SO Good). I try to get some Game of thrown over the weekend.
Accountabilty was great yesterday. I didn't get any gym in but I walked a couple miles to see People along the parade route.

OMG, when I was just a little over 1 year post op, Grim and I went to NYC for a week and found ourselves in a hotel basically across the street from the giant M&Ms store. We went on our first day there and were very restrained. We got a few tastes of a the flavors you can't get anywhere else, and I got M&M pajamas and a mug... Then on our last day, we went back and it was like our inner fat kids were let loose in the store and we bought so much candy. It made us both feel like DEATH. Ugh. We are not so smart.

Good morning everyone. We had a quiet 4th of July at home. The kids came up and stayed the night. It was nice for all of us to be together. I made taco salad. I ate just the meat with cheese and avocado.
My abdominal pain is better. My doctor thinks it may be diverticulitis. I have cut out all seeds, berries and lettuce and its better. If it continues I am going to be referred to a gastroenterologist. I do have a pelvic ultrasound scheduled for Wednesday too.
I weighed 18 pounds more at the doctor than I did 2 years ago. Made me sad. I have got get my head in the game. I know its the carbs. I have become relaxed with having a slice of bread or eating the bun, a handful of chips.
Food for today-
cauliflower wrap, 2 oz black forrest ham, 1 slice light swiss and egg. ( my new favorite breakfast)
taco meat with cheese
grilled halibut with tarter sauce
Just 2 yogurt
QOTD- I don't collect anything. I actually have been working hard on getting rid of stuff.
Have a great day. Be kind to yourself
Good Morning JB and Menuers,
Yesterday we went to St. Michael's, a small town of quaint shops and a winery. It was fun and I had a glass of peach wine. It was our friend's birthday so we grilled Ribeyes, lobster tail and crab cakes for dinner. It was relaxing and fun.
Max and I went on a super long walk this morning before the sun was completely up. It's another hot and humid day in Maryland. Not sure what our plans are for today and DH is still resting. The muscle relaxers are doing their job.
B: coffee
L: sweet potato hash (made from leftovers)

I've been at this Saint Michael's that you speak of probably in my 20's a bunch of friends rented a house on the bay a couple miles up the road. That place was lovely the little quaint shops were so cool. Thank you for bringing that Memory back for me I had forgot about that get away.

I think I was in St Michaels when I visited friends in March. We stopped at a little distillery called Lyon that I really liked.

Good morning and happy July 5th. My new office was not closed today, so here I am. On the bright side, it took me 10 minutes to get to work, which is unheard of in Los Angeles. The holiday was nice and quiet, but I would have loved to have a long weekend.
QOTD: Not really, or not intentionally. I tend to have a collection of Los Angeles Dodgers Bobble Heads, but that's about it. I do nothing with them. They all live in their boxes in a closet. I used to collect crystal perfume bottles but haven't acquired a new one in quite a while.
My plan:
B: sliced turkey and 1 oz cheese
L: leftover hamburger patty, slice of cheese and baby carrots
D: Haven't got a clue, except I'm craving fish. So maybe fish
S: homemade latte and I have an apricot and plum with me, so maybe one or the other
G'morning all!
Quick post and run because I still have the house full of people.
Julia - you and Grim look soooooo darn cute together. I can't get over it.
Great 4th in my neck of the wood. Went to the parade. Came back home and BBQ for the rest of the day. I stuck to my guns and had only skirt stake, asparagus and deviled eggs. So proud of myself. Of all things, the watermelon was so tempting yesterday but I stayed away from it. In the evening while it was still light out the boys shot the potato launcher...I'm attaching a pic of DS shooting it. When it got dark we went down to the beach (we had a big group) everybody had brought tons of fireworks and then it was the competition who has the biggest and baddest fireworks. It was fun, sorta scary but fun. In our county fireworks are illegal (!!) but somehow every body hoards them and fires them off on the 4th. Luna (our little one year old pup) really surprised me...she wasn't scared of fireworks, didn't stress, didn't bark!
Today is another day along the same lines. Just feeding the crowd and hanging out. Sat will be the same. Sun morning I'll be driving down to UCLA with DS for his summer program
Have a great Friday and weekend, everyone.
