What's on your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?
Morning everyone. Things seem to be settling into a rhythm with me, so I'm going to try and get back in the habit of posting daily. I need the discipline. Yesterday was a great food day until my sugar crashed at 10:00 pm. Then all bets were off. Sigh. Hoping today is a better day.
QOTD: Well, I just started a new job, so I'm hoping to be well integrated here and helping to grow the practice. On a personal level, I'd love to find someone and get into a relationship, but if that doesn't work out, I'd like to be surrounded by good friends and family who keep me engaged. And travel . . . more travel.
My plan:
B: 2 scrambled eggs, .5 oz of cheddar cheese
L: 4.2 oz of ground turkey, .5 tbs of pesto, .5 oz cheddar cheese
D: bunless burger after spin
S: homemade latte, L&F with peanut butter before the gym and I have a plum and apricot with me
E: 55 minutes of hot spin
on 7/4/19 4:54 am
I hope this new job gives you some work life balance and vacation time to visit meeeee (I fit into your travel goals, right?)!

QOTD- Living contentedly in Maui. Every morning a brisk walk along the beach, and snorkeling. Coffee within view of the water and great food choices every day.
Things are much better on the vertigo front today. I managed to mow my lawn yesterday afternoon, I snuck it in right before it rained. I really need to work on my yard, taming the overgrown areas and replacing the back fence. I also need to let my neighbors know that the next time they trim their grape vines to not let them drop on my side of the fence. Half of my yard debris bin is full of grape vines, and I really didn't want to take the time to pick them up.
My goal this week is to make it to the gym. I will do it! I just need to go! OK I'm truly trying to psych myself into doing it. I just need to remember that no one is watching me, I'm really not that interesting. And hopefully no one is judging me. Enough of my insecurities.
Working from home Thursday and Friday, so much less stress. And really there aren't very many people that work so it should be calm.
My Mom is doing great after her valve replacement, and says it is much easier to breathe now.
Have a wonderful holiday and I'm hoping the fireworks aren't too bad. I hate them in the neighborhoods, I love the large displays but the constant noises set off my PTSD and life is not good.
Take care everyone!

It's hard starting back at the gym but worth it!
When I first started working out, 7 years and a lot of pounds ago, I just knew that even though it was a 5 am training session, all the people were staring at me and judging me for only being able to do 5 minutes on the treadmill at a time, or going too slow, or not being able to do X.
Sure enough, a couple of weeks in, this very fit woman that I would see every morning stopped me in the locker room and I braced myself for some comment....she was fit, she belonged at the gym, my uncoordinated giant butt didn't. She said "I wanted to tell you that seeing you come every day and working hard to get better inspires me to do the same".....I've never forgotten that.
You might feel like all the eyes on you are critical...but maybe you're helping someone to keep their motivation going.
