Morning JB & menu folks! I'm sitting on the porch with the cats and already sweating like mad. Started out with 4 cats stretched out in the sunshine but they have all moved to the shade now!
I've had what I think is a migraine since yesterday morning. I had to sign out of work early yesterday for heavy meds thanks to DW and several hours of sleep. It eased off for a while and then came back. Woke up with it again this morning and decided to just take the day to rest. It's eased off again which is why I'm not in the dark but taking the day to see if I can get my mind and body back in shape!
In more home news, DW's neuro had called in for some referrals with specialists, including Mayo, but then yesterday called and wants to meet with us again about some new treatment plan. I want to be hopeful but after a year of tests, one med after another and little to NO progress, I'm skeptical at best. We have an appointment for tomorrow afternoon. Eyes crossed!!
QOTD: I'm trying to do more cardio each week again. Too hot alot of times to run outside and the DREADmill is not fun. Trying to do more time on the elliptical even though it isn't my fave. Also putting more time at the pool back into the week. Really longing for some extra long hikes too!

morning everyone!
I had a crazy experience last night, I was cutting up an apple and dropped a piece, went to grab it and ended up slicing my hand pretty deep with the knife I was holding (brand new knives!). I didn't panic, went into the bathroom, put a towel on it to try to staunch the bleeding and started feeling a little woozy. I managed to hold it together til I got a bandage on it, then sat down on the toilet seat, felt super nauseous and I could not stay conscious. thankfully I was sitting down, I just fell against the wall and passed out. When I came to I was still sitting but I have no idea how long I was out for. probably just a minute or 2 I am guessing...that has never happened to me in my life. I'm not usually that squeamish and it wasn't even painful...I am just thankful I had the foresight to sit down and that Story was already asleep in her bed!
QOTD: I can't think of anything really...I keep saying I want to try jogging but I haven't figured out how to make the time for it yet unless I decide to get up at 4am. I am not that committed yet.

Im sure it had to do with me feeling woozy from looking at the cut. I was trying not to freak out but started to feel pretty woozy/nauseous as I was trying to dress it.

Amber, that's scary! Glad you were sitting down and didn't go down from a standing position, you could have really been hurt. Hope it's healing ok and your not feeling light headed or anything right now.

Amber, could it be blood pressure? Since WLS my blood pressure has been really low and if I stand up fast I get whoozy. You said the apple slice fell down. Is that when started getting dizzy?
