Whats on your Monday menu RNYers?
Hi Karen and menu folks,
popping in after a long break... Lots of life interruptions and I need to make a more concerted effort to get my stress and diet under control again. Right now I am like a naughty dog in a garbage bin... last night was tragic, I ate biscuits/cookies and chocolate and just too much of it.
I am currently at my ideal weight at 1 year out and want to stay that way! So, my QOTD answer (excellent question btw)
Goals for July:
- exercise with vigor 3 times a week (skating/walking/gym) and 2 to 3 times at a more chill pace (yoga/walking for coffee)
- make scanning the menu thread/OH happen at least 5 days a week and posting at least 3 times to help my accountability
- get back onto my longarm (broke my wrist in May) and finish up client waiting list
- Getting at least 500ml more water into my day
So the menu on Monday was
B: black coffee (decaf) protein shake with 1tbl PB2
MT: protein mug cake
L: Carbless Crunch Bar
AT: Chocolate Sante Bar (bad, bad, bad)
D: Yogurt/granola, bikkies(4)
Exercise: 2 hours of skating
vitamins: on point
water: 1.5L not enough although there were several cups of herbal tea
I realise that I really need to plan better for skating days as I spend 3 hours (for the round trip) in the car to get to the rink. Pre skating I did well with the extra protein boost at MT. Lunch is ok as a bar as I am driving back home, but I should have had a better snack prepped for AT.
I hadn't gone grocery shopping and didn't have a decent warm meal prepped for dinner either... So I will come up with a better plan for the next few weeks.

45 replies! And on a Monday, no less. That is the RNY menu board that I know and love. Late post for me, but wanted to get on to stay committed. I have to go to the gym but may come back later tonight.
QOTD: Goal for July is to get ten double under jumprope in a row. Since I can only do one at a time right now, I don't know if I will make it but I'm going to keep plugging away.
Breakfast: Bratwurst
Snack: Protein Bar
Lunch: Omlette
Snack: Jerky
Dinner: Chicken
