What's on your Wednesday menu,RNYers?
Mornin' All!
my stomach seemed to be in active rebellion yesterday, so I'm going to eat EASY things today until I'm sure it's calmed down. I had 1692 kcal on paper yesterday (that's OK since my maintenance level is 1500-1700 - and given I went out for lunch, that's actually a pretty decent total), but I lost some of that, so not sure where I actually ended up. Less than that for sure. Weight at 152.2 this morning. Yay.
nothing scheduled for today, but I have some things I need to finish up, like my organization's Web site. It's beautiful outside, so a nice long walk would be in order, too. And I have to make something for an international potluck lunch tomorrow - will do that this evening (I'm going to make these Turkish lentil/bulgur balls that have several spices in them - along with the garlic yogurt sauce that you're supposed to dip them in. They sound quick & easy but still good - my favorite type of recipe!)
4 years out:
B: three small protein pancakes, 1/3 C plain Greek yogurt, 1/2 C (no sugar added) strawberry/rhubarb sauce, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: not sure - but something my stomach can handle - maybe turkey or chicken breast slices or some cottage cheese
AS: light yogurt
D: Wednesday nights are usually sushi night, but that might be a bit much for my pouch today. I may end up doing the same thing I'm doing for lunch
ex: walking, yoga
EDITED TO ADD: I don't really have a favorite musician, although I like several. As far as genres, I like classic rock, 70's Motown/soul, some blues (esp Chicago style), folk, most bluegrass, Irish folk music, some classical.
have a great day, all!!
Good morning. Slowly working my way down to my new goal weight. Accountability mixed and working to cut my meal portion sizes and snacks down so I don't go over my protein/fat/carb targets. That's the goal for the next month.

Good morning all~ Came into work early today, had a hard time sleeping last night - too much on my mind. It's going to be a long day. After work I'm going to visit my nephew then catching a yoga class at the gym by my work before I head home which will be really late for me but I need to do this. I finally realized I was feeling guilty about taking gym time for myself when I could be home spending time with my husband and son. I can't do that anymore, I need to take care of myself. Another reason why going working out with Rob has made this easier for me take the time but I know I need to do it with or without him.
QOTD - James Taylor and Elton John are my favorites. I love acoustic guitar and piano.

Amy, when I started thinking of gym time not as time away from family but me time so I could be better WITH my family afterwards, it totally changed my mindset towards the time spent at the gym.

Good morning.
i've been In a stall for a wee bit more than a week. Super frustrating!

I had another day of good choices. I avoided the retirement party by going walking. I did about 1.25 miles, came back and ate my Greek yogurt and read my book. I also avoided the candies laying around in the office so I felt pretty good. But a rice krispies treat found it's way as my evening snack. Ended up at 847 calories, 61 protein, 32 fat & 83 carbs. The carbs were a bit high, but I still felt good about it. The scale rewarded me with another 2lb drop, so I'm only 3lbs up from posted weight. I was really up 7lbs but couldn't face that number. I have upped my water so I was at about 100 oz yesterday. I met my 10000 step goal, second day in a row.
I've also decided to start back at the gym. I've been avoiding it for far too long. For two reasons, first I gained so much weight (couldn't face my skinny picture posted on the wall as a success story) and second my personal trainer committed suicide and I haven't been able to face going there. I know I could go to another location but that one is where I have felt comfortable, had successes and know people. So I am making a plan to do it.
QOTD- So many Jimmy Buffet, Bruce ****burn, John Lee Hooker, Hozier, Sarah McLachlan, Bruce Springsteen, Kenny Loggins, and tons more. I love music and use it to de-stress and avoid the noise at work.
Have a great Hump Day everyone!
